Sony Interactive Entertainment announced new recommended retail prices on March 27, 2026, effective April 2, 2026. The figures below are official MSRP, not a guarantee of what a retailer charges today. Sony’s announcement provides the price reference.

These are Sony’s recommended prices for the listed territories, effective April 2, 2026. For other markets, Sony directs buyers to local retailers or direct.playstation.com where available. Taxes, shipping, retailer pricing, and local availability can affect the amount you actually pay.
Compare offers without mixing models
Before judging whether a deal is good, write down exactly what the listing includes. The PlayStation 5 family includes digital and disc-based editions; listings may also differ by storage, bundle, or condition. PlayStation’s buying page describes the console options and directs shoppers to availability and price details.

- Match the edition: Compare standard PS5 with standard PS5, Digital Edition with Digital Edition, and PS5 Pro with PS5 Pro. Confirm storage and disc-drive configuration rather than relying on a shortened listing title.
- Separate console-only listings from bundles: Record each included game, controller, or accessory, and compare the full checkout total. A bundle’s headline price is not directly comparable to a console-only price.
- Keep new and refurbished offers distinct: PlayStation Direct lists certified refurbished slim-model-group consoles as well as new products. Check the exact condition label and applicable terms on the live listing.

- Set alerts only after checking what they track. A service that follows PlayStation games or digital-store discounts may not monitor physical console hardware. Verify the exact product category and retailer coverage before relying on an alert.
