Use YouTube Studio’s Analytics > Revenue report to check gifted and redeemed membership counts and estimated membership revenue for a chosen date range. Those are separate measures: a gift count is not a revenue figure, and YouTube’s published instructions do not guarantee exact attribution of each gift to a particular always-on stream session.
Where to find gifted memberships and revenue
- Open the report: In YouTube Studio, go to Analytics and select Revenue.
- Set the reporting period: Choose the date range that covers the stream window you want to review. Keep time-zone boundaries consistent when comparing periods; YouTube’s help pages do not specify a special reconciliation procedure for always-on streams.
- Check gifts and redemptions: Choose Memberships Type to see how many memberships were gifted and how many were redeemed during the selected period. Record these as distinct counts.
- Check estimated revenue: In the How you make money card, select Memberships for the membership revenue breakdown. The Memberships revenue metric is estimated revenue from memberships, including gifted memberships, for that date range.
- Use the transaction count for the right question: The Transactions Revenue card reports the number of transactions in the selected period. It is not a gifted-membership count.
- Use available filters carefully: The report supports video-format filtering. Where available, filter for live-stream results to examine performance in the chosen period, but do not treat that as guaranteed attribution to one individual broadcast.
What the counts and revenue figures mean

Gifted memberships are purchased during eligible live streams or Premieres. Recipients must opt in, and a gifted membership provides up to one month of access. Gifted memberships are non-recurring. Can you tell which always-on stream generated the gifts?
YouTube’s published instructions describe date-range membership reporting and video-format filtering, but they do not establish a guaranteed method to attribute every gift exactly to one continuous stream session. Use the reports to assess the period and, where the filter is available, live-stream format; avoid presenting either as definitive session-level reconciliation.

Treat it as your own operational note, not a YouTube-documented guarantee that the final earnings can be matched gift by gift to a stream timestamp.

When Studio estimates become finalized earnings
YouTube says estimated earnings are adjusted after about one week and again in the middle of the following month. Finalized earnings appear in AdSense for YouTube and may differ from Analytics estimates. Finalized earnings for the previous month are added to the AdSense for YouTube account balance between the 7th and 12th; this is a documented general timing window, not a promise that every account or earnings situation will resolve identically.
For a useful tracking record, label every figure with its date range and status, such as “estimated in Studio” or “finalized in AdSense for YouTube.” Revisit the same period after adjustments rather than silently replacing an earlier estimate with a finalized amount.

YouTube’s general guidance says creators receive 70% of membership revenue after applicable taxes and fees are deducted; YouTube currently covers transaction costs, including credit-card fees. The partner earnings overview describes 70% of net revenues under the Commerce Product Module and directs creators to their own agreement for specific terms. Common tracking mistakes and fixes
- Using gifts and redemptions interchangeably: Record each Memberships Type count separately; they measure different activity.
- Calling transaction count a gift count: Use Transactions Revenue only when you want the number of transactions. Use Memberships Type for gifted and redeemed counts.
- Treating an estimate as final: Mark the Studio amount as estimated, then check AdSense for YouTube after the adjustment cycle.
- Comparing inconsistent date boundaries: Use the same dates and time-zone convention for each comparison, and note the period beside the result.
- Claiming exact stream-level credit without evidence: Report date-range and format-filtered findings as such. The reviewed YouTube guidance does not promise exact session-level attribution.
- Including promotional gifts as earnings: Exclude them from earned-revenue assumptions; YouTube says promotional gifted memberships do not earn revenue.
