Keep each platform account as the authoritative record of what you earned, then use a cross-platform tracker for a combined view. A tracker can display trophies, achievements, and challenges from linked services; it normally does not merge separate records or transfer a game’s save data.
The reliable workflow is to verify the achievement on its original platform, make the necessary activity visible, connect only a tracker that supports your services, and check the specific game’s cross-platform rules before changing linked accounts.

Aggregation is not achievement syncing
“Track my achievements everywhere” can mean two different things:

- Synchronization or transfer: a game or platform carries save data, unlock state, or progress from one platform account to another.
Aggregation is the broadly available option. Your PlayStation trophies, Xbox achievements, Steam achievements, mobile achievements, and a game’s own achievement system remain records held by their respective platforms or developers. A third-party dashboard presents connected data; it does not turn those records into one universal account.

Synchronization is controlled by the individual game and account system. A publisher may support cross-save, cross-progression, or shared achievement progress for one title while another title keeps completely separate records. Never infer transfer support merely because a tracker can display both accounts.
Where the authoritative record lives
Start with the service on which the unlock occurred. If an achievement is missing from a combined dashboard, the native account page is the first place to check. A third-party tracker cannot reliably display data that the source account hides, has not published, or does not expose through a supported connection.
Platform achievements and game achievements are different
Platform achievements are issued by a console, PC storefront, mobile service, or network. A game can also operate its own achievement system. Epic Games’ support documentation distinguishes “Epic Games achievements,” which developers may add to Epic’s system, from achievements earned inside a game that are owned and operated by that game’s developer. Those categories can have different account rules, lists, and transfer behavior.
Use the platform’s own page or in-game menu to establish whether an unlock exists before troubleshooting an aggregator. A missing item in a tracker may be a visibility problem, a source-coverage gap, or a delay rather than a lost achievement.
What “cross-platform” means for trophies and achievements
There is no universal rule for every console, storefront, or game pairing. A documented exception is PlayStation’s treatment of a game available on both PC and console. Sony states: “Yes, trophy progress is tracked based on the game you’re playing. If the game can be played on PC and console, your trophy progress will be valid on both platforms.” The statement applies to that PlayStation trophy system and games available in both versions; it is not evidence that all achievements transfer between all platforms.

For any other combination, look for the game developer’s or platform owner’s current support instructions. Confirm whether the rule covers:
- the exact game and edition;
- the same publisher account or network account;
- cross-save or cross-progression, rather than only multiplayer identity;
- new unlocks only, or previously earned achievements as well;
- one-way migration, account linking, or a permanent merge.
Choose a tracking method
Select a tool based on the platforms you actually use and whether you want a browser profile or a desktop library view. The following options are documented in the supplied service and platform materials.

Platform lists are service claims that can change. Check the current coverage page immediately before connecting an account, especially if a source is important to your collection.
Set up a combined achievement profile
- Confirm the native record. Open the platform, storefront, or game client where the achievement was earned. Verify the title, profile, and unlock date or status there.
- Check the game’s account model. Determine whether the game uses platform trophies, a publisher account, an in-game achievement system, or more than one. Do this before unlinking or relinking accounts.
- Review privacy and authentication requirements. Exophase says tracking failures are typically caused by privacy settings that hide gaming activity. Make the relevant activity visible according to the platform’s controls, then use the tracker’s supported sign-in method. Read the tracker’s privacy policy before granting access.
- Pick the aggregation approach. Choose Exophase when you want a web profile spanning its listed ecosystems. Choose Playnite Achievements when your priority is seeing data within a Playnite desktop library.
- Connect accounts one at a time. Authenticate the account that owns the achievement, confirm the displayed username or profile, and then add the next service. This makes it easier to identify which connection produced a missing or duplicate entry.
- Refresh the data. In Playnite Achievements, the documented platform settings tab handles login, and the extension offers refreshes for installed games, recent games, or the full library. Its README says a full refresh retrieves achievement data for all games. A web service may update on its own or require a profile refresh; follow its current instructions.
- Compare one known game. Select a title with a recently earned achievement and compare the native record with the aggregate profile. Check the achievement name, game edition, and completion count rather than relying only on a total score.
- Record the limitation. If a source is incomplete or a tracker cannot see private activity, note that in your own collection workflow. Do not treat an absent entry as proof that the platform erased it.
Using PlayStation games on PC
For a PlayStation game played on PC, Sony provides a direct way to inspect the trophy record. While the game is running:
- Press Shift+F1 to open the PlayStation overlay.
- Select Trophies.
- Choose the game’s trophy list and compare it with the record shown on your PlayStation account.
This check is useful before connecting a third-party tracker because it establishes whether the PC session is reporting to the expected PlayStation account. Sony’s documented cross-platform statement applies when the game can be played on both PC and console. A different game, account arrangement, or platform pairing may follow different rules.

Using Epic’s achievement and progress systems
Epic’s achievement view organizes current Epic Games achievements by game and provides filtering and sorting. Use that page to inspect achievements that belong to Epic’s system, while remembering that a developer-operated in-game achievement system may be separate.

It instructs players to link platform accounts to an active Epic account, permits one account from each supported platform in the described setup, and says that differing platform progress cannot be merged through that process. When progress differs, the player must choose which progress to keep.
That is a save-progress rule, not a promise that every achievement transfers. Read the exact game support article before changing links, because selecting the wrong progress or account can produce an outcome that cannot be reversed through the described process.
What Exophase can and cannot show
Exophase’s FAQ describes a cross-platform achievement tracker and lists console, PC, mobile, and retro ecosystems. Its homepage presents the profile service as a way to view gaming activity across connected platforms.
The service’s usefulness depends on the visibility and completeness of each source. Exophase explicitly notes that private activity settings can prevent tracking. Make only the activity needed for the profile visible, and review the account permissions requested during authentication.

Coverage is not uniform. The FAQ says Blizzard tracking is currently limited to StarCraft II and World of Warcraft game data. It also says Ubisoft tracking is limited to challenges rather than the achievements displayed in the Ubisoft client. Therefore, an Exophase profile can be a convenient combined view without being a complete mirror of every client.

Playnite Achievements’ project documentation describes a PC-library-centered extension. Its named integrations include Steam, GOG, Epic, Battle.net, EA, Game Jolt, Riot, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, RetroAchievements, and several emulators, along with manual achievement support.
The extension is useful when your games already live in Playnite and you want achievement information, notifications, and progress beside the library entry. Login is handled through the extension’s platform settings. You can refresh installed games, recently played games, or the complete library; a full refresh is the broadest option and may take longer as the library grows.
Integration names should not be read as a guarantee that every title has every achievement. Storefront APIs, emulator mappings, regional editions, delisted games, and developer-specific systems can all affect the data returned. Confirm a particular source and game in the project’s current documentation if completeness matters.
Troubleshoot a missing achievement
The achievement is missing everywhere
- Reopen the game or platform while signed into the account that earned the unlock.
- Check whether the achievement belongs to the game developer rather than the platform.
- Confirm that the unlock condition was completed in the required mode, difficulty, or online state.
- Allow the platform to reconnect and update before assuming the record is lost.
The native page is correct but the tracker is empty
- Verify that the tracker is connected to the same account, not a similarly named profile.
- Review privacy settings that hide gaming activity.
- Run the tracker’s supported refresh, beginning with the game or recent-games option before a full-library refresh.
- Check whether the service lists the platform but excludes that game, edition, or achievement category.
Only some games or achievements appear
- Compare the missing title with the service’s current platform and source notes.
- Look for documented coverage limits, such as Exophase’s Blizzard and Ubisoft restrictions.
- Check whether the game uses a separate developer-operated achievement system.
- Use the native platform page as the authoritative record and keep the aggregate profile as a convenience view.
Progress changed after linking accounts
Stop unlinking and relinking until you have read the game’s account-support instructions. Epic’s documented progress-sync process says differing progress cannot be merged and requires choosing which progress to keep. A tracker connection should not be used as a substitute for a game’s migration or cross-save procedure.
Privacy and account-safety checks
Achievement tracking requires access to account activity, and some services require a sign-in or authorization flow. Before connecting an account:
- Use the tracker’s official domain or project distribution page.
- Confirm the account name shown on the authorization screen.
- Grant the narrowest permission that provides the required achievement data.
- Read the service’s privacy policy and understand how connected data can be displayed publicly.
- Use a unique password and platform-provided multi-factor authentication where available.
- Remove an old connection from the platform’s account-security page if you stop using the tracker.
Making activity visible can improve tracking but may also expose play history, profile names, timestamps, or game ownership. Decide whether a public profile is acceptable before changing privacy settings.
How to compare trackers before committing
A single score or total achievement count is not enough to choose a service. Evaluate these points against your own library:
- Platform coverage: Does it support every account you care about, including mobile, retro, emulator, or publisher-specific sources?
- Data type: Does it aggregate platform achievements, game-native achievements, challenges, or only selected categories?
- Authentication: What sign-in method is used, and can you revoke access later?
- Privacy behavior: Must activity be public, and what profile details become visible?
- Refresh controls: Can you refresh one game, recent games, installed games, or the entire library?
- Known gaps: Are there documented limits for a publisher, storefront, region, emulator, or game edition?
- Where you play: Is a browser profile sufficient, or do you need achievement data embedded in a PC library?
A maintenance routine that prevents confusion
After the initial setup, maintain the native records first. When you earn an achievement, confirm it on the original platform before expecting the combined profile to update. Refresh the affected game or recent games, and reserve a full-library refresh for a periodic audit or after adding many titles.
Keep linked-account names documented privately so you can distinguish duplicate profiles. Recheck source coverage after a major platform, game-client, or tracker update. If a service changes its integration, export or record the information you need for your own collection history rather than assuming an external dashboard will retain every field forever.
The practical answer to “Are trophies cross-platform?”
Sometimes, for a specific game and platform system; not universally. PlayStation explicitly supports trophy progress for a game available on both PC and console, but that documented rule should not be generalized to unrelated platforms or titles. For all other cases, verify the game’s current support instructions and keep the original platform account as the record you trust.
If your goal is simply to see a collection in one place, use an aggregator such as Exophase or a PC library extension such as Playnite Achievements after checking coverage and privacy requirements. If your goal is to move save progress or unlock state between devices, follow the game publisher’s cross-progression instructions instead; an achievement dashboard cannot perform that migration.
