Start with the exact product page
A search result, an old article or a product name alone cannot establish the current status of the version you want. Open the specific Secret Lair listing on the official store, then read the status shown for that page. Inventory can differ by product variant and regional storefront, so treat the page for your selected item as the authority for that purchase attempt.

- Choose the regional storefront. The official homepage exposes United States, Europe and United Kingdom storefronts. Select the region that applies to your delivery address before judging availability.
- Open the individual drop page. Do not rely only on a category page or a search snippet. The product page contains the controls and availability wording for that listing.
- Select the edition you want. Where offered, choose foil or non-foil. A drop page can list both, and the available state for one edition does not establish the state of the other.
- Read the displayed status exactly. Use the store’s wording rather than translating every disabled-looking control into “sold out.”
- Record the page state at the time you check. Product stock can change, and an indexed search result may not reflect what the live product page shows.

These are interface states, not interchangeable descriptions. If the page uses one of the latter four labels, report that exact state instead of calling the drop sold out.

On the official store, “No longer available” is the most direct wording that the listing is no longer being offered for purchase there. It answers the practical question “Can I buy this item from this page now?” with a no.

That conclusion is deliberately narrower than “the drop no longer exists.” The status says nothing about stock in a different regional store, a different foil treatment or non-foil edition, or a separate seller. Describe the item as unavailable from the official store rather than claiming that obtaining a copy anywhere is impossible.
Do not confuse temporary unavailability with a finished sale
“Temporarily unavailable” is intentionally different from “No longer available.” It tells you what the store is displaying at that moment, but it does not tell you how long the condition will last. There is no stated duration or restock commitment attached to the label in the available product-page evidence.
If you see this state, save the exact product page and check it again through the same regional storefront if you need the official listing. Do not publish or repeat an invented return date, and do not treat a temporary message as proof that inventory has permanently run out.
Other labels that are not sold-out proof
Coming soon
A “Coming soon” control presents the item as an upcoming offering. It is not a report that a previous allocation has been exhausted. The label does not include a release time in the available store evidence, so avoid attaching a date unless the product page itself supplies one.
Waiting list
“Waiting list” is a separate store state. It indicates that the listing is using a waitlist path, not that the page has confirmed a completed sell-through. The label alone does not explain how the list operates or guarantee that joining it will produce an order.
Sale cancelled
“Sale cancelled” identifies a cancellation state. It should not be rewritten as “sold out,” because cancellation and inventory exhaustion are different explanations for why a normal purchase path is unavailable. The store label does not provide a cancellation reason.
Check foil and non-foil editions separately

- Open the drop page and identify every edition selector.
- Select the exact treatment you intend to purchase.
- Read the status after that selection changes.
- Keep the edition in any note or report you make about availability.
A status shown for a foil option does not establish the status of the non-foil option, and the reverse is also true. If only one edition carries “No longer available,” limit your statement to that edition.
Check the correct regional store
The official homepage exposes United States, Europe and United Kingdom storefronts. The available evidence does not compare their inventory, so a result in one region cannot be generalized to the others.
When checking for someone in another market, switch to that storefront and repeat the product-page and edition steps. Include the region in your wording—for example, “No longer available on the United Kingdom store”—rather than presenting a regional observation as a worldwide stock report.
How to interpret “available while supplies last”
Official product pages can say that a drop is “available while supplies last.” This is supply-limited language: it warns that availability depends on remaining stock. It is not a published restock schedule, and it does not establish a particular sale end time.

One official product example lists foil and non-foil editions alongside that wording. Use it to understand the sales condition, not to infer that every edition shares one inventory pool. The indexed “Sale time ends” field on the example was templated rather than a usable date, so it cannot support an exact deadline.
The same wording appears on more than one official listing, including the Black Lights & Dark Dungeons and Masters of the Universe: Sold Separately product pages. In both cases, “while supplies last” describes the nature of the offer; it is not evidence of a guaranteed final day or a promised replenishment.
What a search result can—and cannot—tell you
Search results for the official store expose the same distinct labels, which makes them useful for finding a listing. They are not a substitute for checking the current product page. Search indexes can preserve older text, omit an edition selector or show a regional result that does not match your storefront.

Use a snippet as a route to the listing, then confirm the status on the page itself. If the snippet and page disagree, report the live page’s wording and the edition and region you checked. Do not claim that a particular drop is currently sold out from an old indexed result alone.

A result can also surface a product title without making clear whether the control applies to foil, non-foil or the whole listing. That ambiguity is another reason to open the page and make the selection yourself. The product name identifies the release; it does not, by itself, identify the inventory state of every option.
Does “No longer available” mean the cards are impossible to find?
No. It means the selected item is not currently being offered for purchase on that official product page. It does not establish that another regional storefront, a different edition or an independent seller has no copies.
This distinction matters when someone asks, “Is this Secret Lair sold out?” A precise answer is: “The foil edition is marked ‘No longer available’ on the United States official store.” That statement answers the official-store question without making an unsupported claim about the entire secondary market.
If the official page is unavailable, can you still buy the cards?
“No longer available” answers only the official-store question. It does not establish what another seller has in stock. A discontinued official listing may still be discussed or offered by independent sellers, but those are separate transactions with their own risks.

An independent listing is not evidence that the official store has reopened the sale, and its existence does not prove that every card in the drop is available.
Secret Lair pages identify the physical cards included in a drop. For example, an official Stranger Things product listing names the cards in that release. Use the official product description to match a resale offer to the correct release rather than relying on a similar-looking title or photograph. Matching the card list is especially important when a seller uses an abbreviated name or combines products in one listing.

No official price, inventory count or resale-market rate is established by the status labels themselves. If cost affects your decision, confirm the current total shown by the seller and compare it with the exact edition and condition; do not infer a price from the availability message.
How to handle a status change
Availability is a point-in-time observation. A page marked “Temporarily unavailable” can later display a different label, just as a listing discovered through an old search result may no longer show the same control. If you are documenting the result for another buyer, note when you checked, which storefront you used and which edition was selected.
Do not turn a single observation into a historical claim such as “this drop sold out on a particular date” unless the official page supplies that date. The indexed sale-end field on the cited example is templated, so it cannot be used to establish an exact deadline. The safest wording remains tied to the page state you actually observed.
A precise way to report the result
When telling someone whether a drop is sold out, include four details:
- The exact drop name.
- The edition checked, such as foil or non-foil, when the page offers a choice.
- The regional storefront.
- The exact status label shown.
A careful report would say that a named edition is “No longer available” on the specified official regional store. If the page instead says “Temporarily unavailable,” quote that wording and omit any prediction about a restock. This format prevents a regional or edition-specific observation from becoming an unsupported universal claim.
For a forthcoming listing, say that it is marked “Coming soon.” For a waitlist listing, say that it is marked “Waiting list.” For a cancelled offering, say “Sale cancelled.” Preserving the store’s terms avoids confusing a purchase restriction with a sell-through.

- Does it say “Coming soon”? Treat it as a forthcoming listing, not a completed sell-through.
- Does it say “Waiting list”? Treat it as a waitlist state without assuming access.
- Does it say “Sale cancelled”? Report cancellation, not sell-out.
- Did you check the right region and edition? Repeat the check if either differs from the purchase you are considering.
- Are you relying on a search snippet? Open the live product page before making a current-status claim.

Bottom line for buyers
