Capture the product detail your coworkers need, then attach it to the right Slack channel or direct message. Use a selected-area screenshot for one price or image; use a full-page capture when details below the fold matter.
Choose what to capture
- Selected area: Best for a specific price, image, product name, or visual issue. It keeps the discussion focused.
- Full page: Use it when the listing, specifications, or other context farther down the page matters. A full-page image can be very tall and may not display as an inline preview in Slack.
Capture the product page
On iPhone
- Open the product page and position it so the product name and relevant details are visible.
- On an iPhone with Face ID, press and quickly release the side button and volume-up button together. On an iPhone with a Home button, press and quickly release the side button and Home button together.
- For a long webpage in Safari, tap the screenshot preview, choose Full Page, then save the capture as an image or PDF. Apple documents this option for webpages that extend beyond the screen. Apple’s iPhone screenshot instructions.
In Microsoft Edge
- Open the product page and select Edge’s Screenshot feature.
- Choose a selected area or full-page capture, then mark up, copy, or save the result as needed.
- If you do not see the same options, availability and functionality can vary by device type, market, and browser version. See Microsoft’s Edge Web Capture instructions.
Send the screenshot in Slack
Slack desktop
- Open the intended channel or direct message.
- Drag the saved screenshot into the message field, or select the plus button to choose the file.
- Add a short note identifying the product and what coworkers should inspect. Slack also supports an image description during desktop upload.
- Check the destination, then send.
Slack mobile
- Open the intended conversation and tap the plus button.
- Choose a recent image or open the photo library and select the screenshot.
- Add context if useful, verify the conversation, and send.
Before sharing, check that the screenshot does not expose personal, account, or order details. Slack says uploads can be restricted in Slack Connect conversations, and some file types cannot be added. See Slack’s file-sharing help.

When Slack accepts a file but does not show an inline preview
Acceptance and inline preview have different limits. Slack’s cited help page says a file can be up to 1 GB, while an image preview appears inline only when the image is smaller than 25,000 pixels on its longest side and under 45 million pixels total. These limits are stated in Slack’s help documentation; no publication year is given there. A tall full-page capture may upload successfully but appear as a file that teammates must open.
- If the point is a single product detail, send a selected-area capture or crop so it is easier to scan.
- If the full page is important, attach it and explain in the message which section matters.
- If Slack rejects the upload, check the file size and whether uploads are permitted in that conversation.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API: one request can return a screenshot or PDF. Its cleanup options accept cookie and consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server lets AI agents use screenshot tools. The free plan includes 1,000 shots per month without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Every feature is available on every plan.
For example, this cURL request captures a product page as WebP. See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for request options.
