Sign in to the protected page in your browser, open the Awesome Screenshot extension, and choose Capture → Full Page to capture the scrolling page. Safari and Firefox use different labels, and browser restrictions can make full-page capture unavailable on some pages.
Capture a logged-in page in Chrome and compatible browsers
- Sign in to the website in your browser as usual, then open the page you want to capture. Keep that authenticated page active in its tab.
- Start the Awesome Screenshot extension from the browser toolbar.
- Select Capture, then choose Full Page to capture the scrolling page.
Awesome Screenshot documents this sequence for its Chrome extension, Edge add-on, and other browsers that support Chrome extensions. The instructions describe the workflow; they do not guarantee that every login-protected site will capture successfully. Use the full-page control for your browser
- Chrome-extension-compatible browsers: Choose Capture → Full Page.
- Safari: Start the extension and select Capture Full Page.
- Firefox: Select Capture Entire Page.
These labels come from Awesome Screenshot’s browser-specific instructions. If the page is displayed inside an embedded frame, a single-page app, or a private document viewer, the documentation does not establish that full-page capture will work there.

Awesome Screenshot says browser restrictions can prevent its extension scripts from running on certain pages. Its examples include browser settings pages, extension-store pages, and chrome:// URLs. In that situation, the vendor’s suggested alternatives are Visible Part or Entire Screen & App Window; crop the captured image afterward if you need to isolate the page. Login, permissions, and privacy
The practical workflow is to authenticate in the browser first, then start the capture on the page you want. Awesome Screenshot says the extension requires “On all sites” permission to capture screenshots and recordings across websites a user chooses to use it on. The vendor also says it does not run in the background or secretly record. These are the vendor’s statements about its permission and behavior, not an independent security assessment. ScreenshotNeo offers a screenshot API and MCP server for developers. A single GET request can return an image or PDF; for a protected page, the API request must have whatever access the target page requires. ScreenshotNeo’s documented advantage is that it accepts cookie/consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, and failed loads are not billed, and cache hits cost nothing; response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. AI agents can use its MCP server tools, including take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf. Plans include 1,000 shots per month free with no card and paid options starting at $5 for 3,000 shots. See ScreenshotNeo and its API documentation.

Troubleshooting
- Full Page is missing or disabled: The extension may not be allowed to run scripts on that browser page. Try Visible Part or Entire Screen & App Window, then crop.
- The page is not signed in: Sign in through the browser and reopen the page before launching the capture. The documented workflow relies on the page being available in the active browser tab.
- The capture does not include the whole page: Confirm you selected the browser’s full-page option rather than the visible-area option. Browser-specific labels differ: Safari uses Capture Full Page; Firefox uses Capture Entire Page.
