Sign in to the website in your browser, open the page, then press Windows key + Shift + S to capture what is visible. For content below the fold, use Microsoft Edge’s built-in Screenshot (also called Web Capture in some versions) and choose Capture full page. These built-in tools capture the page as you see it; you do not need to give them your account password.

Capture the part of the logged-in page you can see

  1. Open the site in your browser and sign in normally.
  2. Navigate to the page and put the relevant content on screen. Close menus and notifications that cover it, and move the pointer if it obscures anything.
  3. Press Windows key + Shift + S. The Snipping Tool overlay opens.
  4. Choose a rectangular snip and drag over the page area you want. For a different scope, Snipping Tool also supports freeform, window, and full-screen captures.
  5. Review the result in Snipping Tool. Copy it or save it. Saving behavior can vary by installed version; Microsoft documents automatic saving to the Screenshots folder in the current tool, and you can use Save as to select a location and filename. Microsoft’s Snipping Tool guide covers the capture and save options.

This is a screen capture of the browser after you have signed in. It does not bypass the site’s access controls or provide a way to capture a page you cannot access.

Capture an entire webpage in Microsoft Edge

For a page longer than the browser window, Edge’s built-in webpage capture can include below-the-fold content. The feature may be labeled Screenshot or Web Capture, depending on the Edge version.

  1. Sign in to the site and open the page in Edge.
  2. Press Ctrl + Shift + S, or open the Edge menu and select Screenshot or Web Capture.
  3. Choose Capture full page. Use the selected-area option if you only need part of the page.
  4. Review the capture and save it using the available controls.

Microsoft’s walkthrough was published January 2, 2024, and notes that feature availability can vary by region. The name and availability may change with Edge updates. See Microsoft Edge’s screenshot instructions.

If the screenshot shortcut or Edge capture is unavailable

On a managed Edge installation, an administrator may enable the DisableScreenshots policy. Microsoft says this blocks screenshot keyboard shortcuts and extension APIs, but does not necessarily prevent Edge Web Capture or capture through Windows or another application. A separate WebCaptureEnabled policy can turn off Edge’s Screenshot feature. These policies were documented by Microsoft Learn as of September 11, 2026, and May 22, 2026, respectively.

  • If the device belongs to your workplace or school, ask its administrator which capture method is approved. Do not try to evade an organization’s restriction.
  • If Edge’s feature is missing but Windows capture is available, use Snipping Tool for the visible area. For a full page on a managed device, check with the administrator rather than assuming another method is permitted.

Policy details: DisableScreenshots and WebCaptureEnabled.
