Owners sometimes call it test mode, but Samsung’s documented setting is called demo mode. The manual for the NE63*6511S*2 family says the option is for retail display and that the heating element does not operate while it is enabled. That can make a functioning range appear unable to heat.

Read the complete model number from the range’s identification label, then locate that model’s manual through Samsung support. Button names and menu paths vary: documented examples use either Options or Clock to enter the setting. The sequence below is specific to the NE63*6511S*2 family and should not be assumed to apply to every Samsung oven or range.

Turn demo mode off on the NE63*6511S*2 family
- With the range powered on, press and hold Options for 3 seconds.
- Press 0 on the number pad.
- Select 2 (Off).
- Press START/SET to save the setting.

If the oven still will not heat
Confirm that the instructions match the full model number and that you saved the setting using the final button shown in its manual. If demo mode is off but the oven still does not heat, this symptom by itself does not identify a failed part. Samsung’s manual says repairs should be handled by qualified service personnel and directs owners to an authorized Samsung service center. Samsung service guidance in the manual.
