To capture an entire Aadhaar webpage in Chrome, including content below the visible screen, open DevTools, choose More options, then select Capture a full size screenshot. Chrome’s separate Capture screenshot command saves only the currently visible area.
Capture the whole page with Chrome DevTools
- Open the page. Go to the UIDAI information page or My Aadhaar service page you need, and wait for the visible content to load.
- Open DevTools. Press Ctrl+Shift+I on Windows or Linux, or Command+Option+I on macOS. Shortcuts can vary with operating-system settings or Chrome configuration.
- Choose the full-page command. In DevTools, open More options and select Capture a full size screenshot. This captures page content beyond the current viewport. Do not choose Capture screenshot if you need the full document; that command captures only what is currently visible.
- Find and inspect the image. Chrome saves the screenshot using its download behavior. The precise location depends on your Chrome and operating-system settings. Open the image and check it from top to bottom before using or sharing it.
If you cannot find the command in the menu, open the DevTools Command Menu and search for “screenshot” or “full size screenshot.” Menu labels and availability can differ between Chrome versions; the documented route is More options → Capture a full size screenshot.

Take extra care with My Aadhaar pages
UIDAI describes My Aadhaar as a login-based portal for Aadhaar-related services. Its FAQ says users can log in with an Aadhaar number and an OTP sent to the registered mobile number, while noting that some services are available without that mobile number. UIDAI service pages include functions such as Aadhaar retrieval and verification, Virtual ID generation, authentication history, biometric security, Aadhaar download and masked Aadhaar; some actions require a mobile OTP.
A full-page capture may include details that are not visible on screen at the moment you start the capture. Before sharing it, inspect every part of the image and redact Aadhaar numbers and other identifiers, OTPs, account details, or other personal information. This is practical privacy guidance, not a claim about a UIDAI screenshot policy. The reviewed UIDAI pages do not establish screenshot-specific rules.

- For a support request, include only the portion and information needed to explain the issue.
- If a public UIDAI information page can show the issue just as well as a personal service screen, use the public page instead.
- Never share an OTP in a screenshot.
If Chrome’s capture does not show what you need
The documented command captures a full-size page, but behavior on every portal screen, Chrome release, operating system and viewport is not established. Pages with interactive content or nested scrolling areas may need closer inspection: confirm the saved image actually includes the content you intended to capture. If it does not, capture the relevant area separately or use a suitable alternative workflow; do not assume an extension will be safer or more reliable for a particular Aadhaar page.
Do you need an extension?
An extension is not required for the basic full-page capture. The GoFullPage Chrome Web Store listing describes whole-page capture with image or PDF export, but it is third-party software. Review its current listing and privacy and permissions disclosures before installing it, especially if you use it on an authenticated identity-services page. The available information does not establish that it is safer or more reliable than Chrome DevTools for a specific Aadhaar screen.

Does Chrome capture the whole page or only the part I can see?
Choose Capture a full size screenshot for the whole page. Capture screenshot is the viewport-only command.
Can I use an API screenshot service for a logged-in My Aadhaar screen?
