How to Take a Full-Page Screenshot of a Tamil Website in Firefox

In Firefox, open the Tamil website, choose Take Screenshot from the page’s right-click menu (or press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS), select Save full page, then choose Download or Copy. The screenshot captures the Tamil text as Firefox displays it; there is no separate Tamil screenshot mode in Mozilla’s instructions.

Capture the entire page with Firefox’s screenshot tool

  1. Open the website in Firefox and wait for the content you want to capture to appear.
  2. Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Take Screenshot. On macOS, Control-click is another documented way to open the context menu. You can also use Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS. Mozilla Support: Take screenshots in Firefox.
  3. Choose Save full page in the screenshot controls. Save visible captures only the portion currently on screen.
  4. Select Download to save the image to Firefox’s default download folder, or select Copy to paste it into another application.

What to expect with Tamil text

Firefox captures the page as it is rendered in the browser. Mozilla’s general screenshot instructions do not specify a Tamil-specific setting, keyboard, or font requirement. The screenshot tool does not translate text or fix a display problem: if Tamil characters look incorrect on the page before capture, address that as a page-display or font-rendering issue first. Mozilla’s documentation does not guarantee that every site will render or capture perfectly.

Use Developer Tools if the screenshot controls are unavailable

Firefox Developer Tools offer a whole-page screenshot fallback, including a Web Console command. Mozilla documents these options in its Firefox Source Docs: Taking screenshots.

ScreenshotNeo can capture a page with one GET request. Its API accepts a URL and returns a screenshot or PDF; the response and output options are documented at ScreenshotNeo API documentation.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key and replace https://stripe.com with the Tamil website URL. ScreenshotNeo can accept cookie banners and remove supported consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are not billed. It also offers an MCP server for AI agents. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots. Learn about ScreenshotNeo.

Troubleshooting

  • The capture shows only the visible area: Reopen the screenshot controls and select Save full page, not Save visible.
  • The page text looks wrong in the image: Check whether it already looks wrong in Firefox. A screenshot records the browser’s display; the screenshot workflow does not correct Tamil text or install fonts.
  • The context-menu option or shortcut does not open the tool: Try the other documented entry point, then use the Developer Tools screenshot control or the Web Console’s :screenshot --fullpage command.
  • Some content is missing: Wait for the content you need to appear before capturing. Mozilla’s documentation describes the capture methods but does not guarantee behavior for every page or loading pattern.
