Use your bank’s normal website in the browser where you are already signed in, then capture the full page with the browser’s built-in screenshot tool. Firefox offers Take Screenshot → Save full page; Chrome DevTools offers Capture a full size screenshot. These capture what the browser renders in that authenticated session—not a bank-issued statement—so check the saved image for missing or repeated transactions before relying on it.
Before you capture a bank statement
- Sign in through the bank’s normal website and open the statement page you are authorized to access.
- Check the account section and date range on the page before capturing it.
- Keep the signed-in page open in that browser session. A screenshot records what that session displays; it does not grant access to data the page has not loaded.
- Do not try to bypass a bank’s blocking controls or your workplace’s security policy. The available browser documentation does not establish how any particular Indian bank portal behaves or whether it restricts screenshots.
Capture the full page in Firefox
- Open the statement page in Firefox and right-click an empty area of the page.
- Select Take Screenshot, then choose Save full page in the upper-right corner. Mozilla also documents Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows/Linux or Command+Shift+S on macOS to open the screenshot tool.
- Select Download to save the image in your configured downloads folder. Firefox also offers Copy if you need to paste the capture elsewhere.
- Open the downloaded image and inspect its top, bottom, and any transitions between sections.
Mozilla’s instructions describe a full-page option as well as capturing only the visible area. They do not guarantee that every bank page, especially one with its own scrolling panel, will be captured completely. Mozilla Support: Take screenshots in Firefox.

Capture the full page in Chrome
- Open the statement page in Chrome and open DevTools.
- Enable Device mode in DevTools.
- Open More options and choose Capture a full size screenshot.
- Open the resulting image and check that the statement’s rows and sections appear complete and in order.
Chrome documents this command as capturing the page, including content outside the visible viewport. That does not guarantee correct results for every bank portal or independently scrolling panel. Chrome DevTools: Device Mode.

- Compare the first and last visible transaction dates with the date range you selected.
- Look for missing, duplicated, or cut-off rows, and confirm that balance or account sections are present if needed.
- Check section boundaries: long pages or embedded panels may not behave like a single scrolling document.
- If anything is absent or repeated, do not treat the screenshot as a complete statement. Use the bank’s own statement download or PDF option if available.
A screenshot is an image of the rendered page, not a substitute for a bank-provided statement when the recipient needs an official document. The reviewed browser guidance does not verify capture accuracy on any named bank’s site.

When the statement scrolls inside its own panel
Some pages place rows in an inner scrolling area instead of making the whole document scroll. A normal full-page browser capture may therefore omit content that is outside that panel’s visible area. If the built-in capture misses rows, first look for the bank’s own download or PDF option.
Some extension listings claim to capture independently scrolling panels by scrolling and stitching them together. Those are claims from the tool listings or publishers, not independent tests on Indian bank sites. Test any such tool on a non-sensitive page before considering it for a bank statement. Compare whether it handles the page’s actual scroll area, whether rows are missing or repeated, where processing occurs, what permissions it requests, and whether its saved layout suits your purpose.

Protect the image and your account details
Treat the result as a sensitive financial document. Keep access limited, share it only when the destination and purpose are appropriate, and remove unrelated personal or account details when possible. Do not upload a bank statement to a capture or editing service unless you have checked its permissions and privacy terms.
