Capture the entire GST Portal page in Microsoft Edge
- Open the GST Portal page in Microsoft Edge. Sign in only if the page you need requires it.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S to open Edge’s Screenshot feature. Depending on the browser version or market, you may also find it in the browser menu or the page context menu. Microsoft notes that feature availability can vary by device type, market, and browser version: Microsoft Edge Screenshot.
- Select Capture full page, not the selected-area option. Edge captures page content extending below the visible screen.
- Review the capture in the overlay. Add markup if needed, then choose the option to save the image to your device or copy it for pasting into another application.
- Open the saved image and confirm it includes the needed content and that text is legible. Pay particular attention to information that loads only after sign-in or after interacting with the page.
When to use a GST Portal PDF instead
A screenshot is useful for showing the webpage and its interface. If you need an official return, summary, or certificate, check whether the specific GST Portal workflow offers a PDF preview or download; those portal options apply to particular records, not every page.

Troubleshooting the capture
- The shortcut does not open Screenshot: Open Edge’s browser menu or page context menu and look for Screenshot. Menu placement and availability can vary by browser version and market.
- The image omits content or looks incomplete: Confirm the page finished loading and that the information is visible in Edge. Review the saved image rather than assuming every dynamic or authenticated page will capture correctly. If the portal provides an official PDF for the record, use that when an official document is what you need.
- The result is hard to read: Check the original saved capture at full size. If the intended use is retaining a return or certificate, use the portal PDF option for that supported workflow instead of relying on an image.
- You only need one section: Use Edge’s selected-area capture or Windows Snipping Tool rather than saving the entire page.
