To sync a Fitbit Aria Air, add the scale in the Google Health app, then keep the app open on a nearby phone or tablet while you weigh yourself. The scale sends weigh-ins over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)—not Wi-Fi—so the phone’s Bluetooth connection and app state matter.
Set up Aria Air in Google Health

Install the Google Health app on a compatible phone or tablet and sign in to your Google account.

In the app, open Connections and select the option to connect a Pixel or Fitbit device or scale. Follow the on-screen instructions to add Aria Air.

App screens can change between versions. Some menus and older help pages may still say “Fitbit app” or “Fitbit account”; follow the equivalent device-connection options in Google Health. Google’s device setup instructions provide the current starting point.

Sync a weigh-in

Turn on Bluetooth on the phone or tablet paired with the scale, and make sure the Google Health app is up to date.

Keep that phone or tablet near Aria Air and open Google Health to the Today tab.

Complete your weigh-in, then check the app for the measurement.

Google’s instruction is direct: “Have the Google Health app open on your nearby phone or tablet while you complete a weigh-in.” See Google Health’s syncing guidance if the measurement does not appear.
Check that you have Aria Air
Aria Air is easy to confuse with the older Aria and Aria 2, but their connection methods differ. Aria Air pairs with a nearby phone or tablet over Bluetooth; the older models use Wi-Fi to connect to a router. Do not follow Wi-Fi setup steps for Aria Air.

Troubleshoot when a weigh-in will not sync
Check the likely connection blockers

Keep Google Health open during the weigh-in, with the phone or tablet close to the scale.

Confirm Bluetooth is on and the app is current.

If you have used several phones or tablets with the scale, keep only the intended device nearby while testing. Google notes that other active Bluetooth connections can interfere.

Check the battery indicator on the scale display. Aria Air uses three AAA batteries; replace them if the level is low.

Try Google’s escalation steps
If the basic checks do not help, work through these steps in order, testing the scale after each one:

Force-quit Google Health, then reopen it.

Turn the phone or tablet’s Bluetooth off and back on.

If syncing still fails, remove other Fitbit devices from the account and from the phone’s Bluetooth device list, then try again.
These are troubleshooting steps, not a guaranteed fix; Google does not identify one cause for every sync failure. If the scale still will not sync, contact Google/Fitbit customer support.
