To stream temple bells and rain sounds continuously on YouTube in India, first confirm your channel can live stream, use audio and visuals you have permission to broadcast, connect an encoder to a YouTube stream, and rehearse before going public. For a continuous prepared feed, YouTube’s encoder workflow lets you send the loop from a computer; a cloud option can keep it running without a computer at home. Neither approach guarantees uninterrupted uptime, and a single stream longer than 12 hours may not be archived by YouTube.
1. Check that your channel can live stream
Before preparing the audio or visuals, open YouTube Studio and confirm live streaming is available for the channel. YouTube says channels must be verified, must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and the person streaming must be at least 16 years old. Check the channel’s actual status in Studio; do not assume eligibility from another channel or account.

2. Prepare audio and visuals you have rights to use
Choose one of two audio routes: make your own recording of bells and rain, or obtain third-party recordings with permission that covers live broadcasting on YouTube. Original recording can give you more control over sound and authenticity, but it takes time and may require access to the location. If you record at a temple, get any location permission needed from that temple. YouTube’s platform guidance does not determine which permissions a particular Indian temple requires or settle Indian recording law.

Clear the visual loop as carefully as the sound. Use footage, artwork, or animation you created or have permission to broadcast. A recording licence is not necessarily enough to prevent YouTube’s Content ID system from interrupting a live stream: the rights holder may also need to allowlist your channel.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. If a stream stops, YouTube Help advises: “If your live stream stops, check your YouTube Studio dashboard for strikes.” Read Copyright issues with live streams and keep permission records accessible.

3. Create the live stream and connect an encoder
YouTube’s encoder workflow is suited to a prepared feed: create or schedule the live stream in YouTube Studio, copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder, check the preview, and start the broadcast. YouTube describes encoders as a way to stream with equipment such as microphones and audio gear. Follow the encoder maker’s current instructions for its exact controls; no particular encoder is required by the guidance cited here.
- Prepare the loop. Assemble the cleared audio and visuals in the encoder or a media workflow it supports. Listen through the full loop for silence, clipping, sudden level changes, and audible joins. Check that the picture and sound stay in sync.
- Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, start the live-stream creation flow and create or schedule the stream. Select the intended visibility for your rehearsal or broadcast.
- Copy the connection details. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for that stream into the corresponding encoder fields. Treat the key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send video to your stream. Do not publish it or show it on screen.
- Check the preview before going live. Start the encoder’s feed and inspect the YouTube Studio preview. Confirm the correct audio and image are arriving, then start the broadcast from the encoder or Studio as required by the workflow.

4. Rehearse, monitor, and plan for interruptions
Run a private or unlisted rehearsal before a public broadcast. Verify not just that the encoder says it is connected, but that a viewer can hear and see the intended feed. YouTube recommends testing the setup and checking preview, accessibility, sound, picture, and local recordings. During operation, keep an eye on the live dashboard and confirm that any local backup file is actually being written.
- Listen for clipping, gaps, unexpectedly loud bells, and abrupt loop seams.
- Check that the visual loop is correct and that the player is accessible to the intended audience.
- Watch Studio’s stream health and dashboard for warnings or strikes.
- Plan how you will respond to power, network, encoder, or rights-related interruptions; rehearsal reduces surprises but cannot guarantee 24/7 uptime.
For a replay you need to preserve, do not rely on one day-long YouTube archive. YouTube may automatically archive streams shorter than 12 hours; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Split the broadcast into sessions shorter than 12 hours and record a local backup if retaining the complete program matters. See Archive live streams.

5. Understand monetization limits
Do not budget on the assumption that a continuous ambience stream will earn money. Live-stream earnings depend on YouTube Partner Program participation and policy compliance, and YouTube applies channel monetization policies to live streams. YouTube identifies mass-produced, generic, or repetitive material as potentially ineligible for monetization. A static image with a repeatedly reused audio loop should not be presented as guaranteed monetizable; review the channel’s current eligibility and policy status in Studio.
