You can stream prerecorded Tamil Carnatic music on YouTube around the clock by sending an encoder a video feed paired with your MP3 audio. First make sure your channel is eligible to go live and that you have streaming rights for every recording and composition. Then create a YouTube stream, enter its stream key in an encoder, check the preview and stream health, and start the broadcast. A successful start does not guarantee an uninterrupted 24/7 stream: YouTube may interrupt matched music, and its archive guidance does not promise one recording for a stream lasting 24 hours.
Before you start: check eligibility and music rights
Enable live streaming on your channel
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Its getting-started guidance sets the minimum age for live streaming at 16. Confirm rights for each recording and composition
An MP3 file, permission to listen to a song, or the fact that a composition is devotional or available online does not establish permission to broadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights for live content worldwide, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants. Check the rights to both the particular sound recording and the underlying composition, including the territory and type of use your authorization covers.

Even if you have a license, YouTube says a live stream may be interrupted unless the rights owner has allowlisted your channel through Content ID. What you need to send MP3 music as a live stream
YouTube’s encoder workflow sends a live audio-and-video stream, not a standalone MP3 radio input. Your encoder must combine the MP3 audio with a visual feed—for example, a still image or other video you have permission to use—and send the resulting stream to YouTube. YouTube describes an encoder as software or hardware that converts content into a digital stream. Its guidance does not prescribe a particular MP3 playlist or looping application, so choose an encoder that can play your files in the sequence and repeat behavior you need, then test that behavior before going live.
- A YouTube channel with live-streaming access enabled.
- MP3 files and accompanying visuals you are authorized to use in a live broadcast.
- An encoder capable of sending audio plus video and looping or scheduling your chosen playlist.
- A stable internet connection and access to YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room to create the stream, retrieve its key and monitor stream health.
Set up the YouTube stream and encoder
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Create a live stream using the encoder workflow. YouTube’s encoder setup page explains the flow; current interface labels can change.
- Copy the ingestion details from YouTube. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the stream. Treat the key like a password: enter it only in your encoder, do not publish it with your video, and reset it in YouTube if it is exposed.
- Configure the encoder. Select the YouTube-provided RTMPS address where supported and enter the stream key. YouTube describes RTMPS as RTMP over TLS/SSL, which encrypts the connection between encoder and YouTube. Its standard encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265 or AV1 video and AAC or MP3 audio, with constant bitrate (CBR) video recommended. See YouTube’s encoder settings.
- Add the audio and a visual feed. Load the authorized MP3 tracks into the encoder’s playback or playlist feature and pair them with the image or video you intend to broadcast. Configure playlist order and repeat behavior in the encoder; YouTube’s cited setup guidance does not specify those controls.
- Use YouTube’s published stereo audio recommendations as a starting point. YouTube recommends a 44.1 kHz sample rate and 128 Kbps for stereo audio. These are its encoder recommendations, not a requirement to re-encode every source MP3 to those exact settings. Preserve the source’s quality when your encoder allows it and verify its output settings. The current guidance is on YouTube’s encoder settings page.
- Start with a representative test. Test with the kinds of audio and visuals your playlist will use. Check the Live Control Room preview and stream-health status before making the broadcast public or relying on it unattended. Confirm that audio is present, the visual feed appears, the playlist advances as intended and the encoder is sending to the correct stream.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Start sending from the encoder, then use the Live Control Room to verify the stream is live. Keep the stream key private and respond to YouTube or encoder warnings; a successful initial connection is not a guarantee of continuous operation.
Plan for a true 24/7 broadcast and its archive
A looping playlist can keep prerecorded material playing, but the complete chain still depends on the encoder, connection, YouTube ingestion and rights status. YouTube’s guidance does not establish a particular playlist tool, computer specification, uptime plan, backup connection or guaranteed 24/7 configuration. Test your chosen setup under the conditions you expect to use and decide how you will detect and recover from a failure.

Do not assume a 24-hour broadcast becomes one continuous archived video. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; that guidance does not promise a single archive for a stream longer than 12 hours. Software encoder or dedicated hardware?
A software encoder is the direct route if you already have a computer and an application that can play a playlist, pair it with visuals and send an encoder stream. It gives you a way to test the workflow before investing in dedicated hardware, but the computer and connection must remain available while you use that setup.

YouTube lists the AJA HELO Plus hardware encoder as a verified encoder and describes its optional PlayToStream functionality as a way to schedule prerecorded media and send it directly to YouTube Live without a computer. That is YouTube’s feature description, not an independent assessment or confirmation of current retail availability. For a simple audio-plus-static-image stream, dedicated hardware may be more than you need; compare its setup and cost with a software encoder and verify current compatibility before buying.

- You cannot start a live stream: Verify the channel and check for live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. If this is your first activation, allow up to 24 hours for access to become available.
- YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Check that the encoder has the correct stream URL and current stream key, and that you selected the intended RTMP/RTMPS destination. If the key may have been exposed, reset it and update the encoder.
- The stream preview has no picture: An MP3 is audio only. Configure the encoder to send an accompanying image or video feed as well as the audio.
- The stream has no sound or the audio settings are wrong: Check the selected audio input or playlist, confirm the encoder is sending AAC or MP3 audio, and compare stereo output against YouTube’s 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps recommendations. Check the preview with a representative track before going live.
- The broadcast is interrupted after a copyright match: Review the warning and remove the matched material if you lack the required rights. If you are licensed, contact the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting; having a license alone may not prevent a live interruption.
- Your archive is missing or split: YouTube’s automatic-archive guidance covers streams under 12 hours, not a continuous archive of a 24-hour broadcast. Check current Live Control Room behavior and avoid relying on one longer stream to produce one complete recording.
