To stream recorded Assamese gospel sermons on YouTube Live throughout the day, connect a prerecorded playlist to YouTube Live Control Room through an encoder, then monitor the feed and plan stream sessions around YouTube’s archive limits. Before starting, make sure the channel can go live and that you have the rights to every sermon, song, image, and recording. For a hands-off option, StreamNeo can loop uploaded videos from the cloud to YouTube without leaving a computer running.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has not had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it before the planned launch. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance explains the requirements.
- Recorded sermons and any other program material arranged in the order you want to play them.
- An encoder that can send a prerecorded video or playlist to YouTube. It can be software on a computer you already own, dedicated hardware, or a third-party service; buying new hardware is not required by YouTube’s workflow. See YouTube’s encoder information.
- A stable internet connection and a way to monitor the stream. Keep a local copy of the recordings if you need an archive independent of YouTube.
- Permission for all material used in the live broadcast, including music, performances, photographs, and video.
Set up the prerecorded YouTube Live stream
1. Enable live streaming and check the channel
In YouTube Studio, confirm the channel is verified and eligible for live streaming. If this is the channel’s first live stream, allow up to 24 hours for activation. Resolve any live-streaming restrictions before scheduling the broadcast; do not leave this check until the day you plan to go live. Check YouTube’s current eligibility requirements.

2. Prepare the sermon playlist in your encoder
Use an encoder capable of playing the prerecorded files in sequence or as a playlist. Review the order, transitions, audio levels, and picture for every recording. Check that sermon titles and any accompanying material are presented accurately. YouTube supports both software and hardware encoder approaches, and its encoder listings include third-party services. Your choice depends on the equipment and continuity needs you already have; YouTube’s guidance does not establish that one type is more reliable than another. See YouTube’s encoder overview.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3. Create the stream and connect the encoder
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to open Live Control Room.
- Create a new stream or schedule one, and set its title, description, visibility, and other event details for the channel.
- In Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key into the corresponding connection fields in your encoder.
- Start the encoder’s preview or send the feed for preview in Live Control Room. Check that the intended video and audio are arriving before you make the stream public or begin the scheduled event.
The stream key is a credential that allows an encoder to send a feed to your channel. Keep it private; if it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder with the new key. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance covers connecting an encoder to Live Control Room.

4. Test and monitor the broadcast
Before launch, watch the preview and verify that speech and music are audible, the picture is correct, and the playlist advances as expected. Check the public watch page from another device, such as a phone, rather than relying only on the encoder’s local preview. Keep an eye on the live feed and the local recording, if you are making one. YouTube suggests setting up an encoder at least two hours before an event and starting it 15 minutes beforehand; treat those as preparation guidelines, not a guarantee of uninterrupted all-day operation. Read YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
Plan all-day operation and YouTube archives
YouTube says live streams under 12 hours may be automatically archived; a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need YouTube archives, plan sessions shorter than that threshold and retain local copies as a separate backup. Splitting an all-day schedule into shorter sessions is an operational workaround based on YouTube’s published archive guidance, not a guarantee that every session will be archived. Check YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.

For a continuous channel, decide in advance how each session will end and how the next one will begin. Schedule and test the handoff rather than assuming a single stream can run indefinitely and still produce an archive. The channel may be continuously available to viewers across separate sessions, but the live event and archive are not necessarily one unbroken recording.
Check rights before broadcasting sermons and music
Confirm that the church or channel has the rights needed to broadcast every recording live. This includes the sermon recording itself and any songs, performances, images, or other third-party material included in it. The specific permissions required can depend on the material, license, and jurisdiction; YouTube’s global terms do not determine the church’s local legal position. YouTube’s Terms of Service require users to have the necessary rights to content they submit.

- CanaKit Raspberry Pi 5 Essentials Starter Kit
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects protected material, it may replace the stream, interrupt it, or terminate it. Having a license does not necessarily prevent a live interruption: the rights owner may also need to allowlist the channel in Content ID. Confirm the status with the rights owner before relying on licensed material in a continuous broadcast. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.
Understand monetization and repeated content
Permission to rebroadcast a sermon does not by itself guarantee that the channel will qualify for or retain monetization. YouTube applies monetization policies to the channel as a whole. Its reused-content review and its rules on repetitive or mass-produced material can affect channels that repeatedly stream recordings, even when the uploader has permission to use them. Review the current YouTube channel monetization policies and make sure the channel’s presentation and overall content meet them.

Choose a way to keep the stream running
For a do-it-yourself setup, a software encoder on an existing computer avoids buying hardware if the computer and network can support the job. Dedicated encoder hardware is another option, but the official workflow does not make it mandatory. Either local approach depends on the equipment, power, and internet connection staying available, so plan who will monitor the stream and how to restart it after an interruption. The available YouTube guidance does not provide a comparative reliability or cost study for these approaches.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is #1 for keeping prerecorded YouTube streams running because it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives you a free first day.
