You can send a YouTube Live encoder feed from Larix Broadcaster, but the official documentation does not confirm that Larix Broadcaster can select and play a prerecorded video file directly. Set up YouTube and Larix as below, then verify the file-playback method on your exact phone, operating system and app version before relying on it. If it cannot play the file directly, you will need a separately verified playback-and-encoding workflow.
What Larix Broadcaster can—and cannot—be confirmed to do
Softvelum describes Larix Broadcaster as an app for streaming live video and audio captured on a smartphone or tablet. Its official materials document RTMP publishing and RTMPS support, but do not establish a direct prerecorded-file source or provide a confirmed sequence for choosing a video in the app. That documentation gap is not proof that no version supports file playout; it means you should not assume the feature is available.

Keep two tasks separate: connecting an encoder to YouTube, and making a stored bhajan video the encoder’s audio-and-video source. Larix’s documented connection setup addresses the first task, not necessarily the second. Before planning a broadcast, confirm the file-source capability on the precise device, operating system and Larix build you intend to use.
Check YouTube Live eligibility first
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions during the preceding 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time may take up to 24 hours, so complete activation well before the planned broadcast.
#1 Best Overall

- HDMI 2.1 cable required (sold separately)
- See movies and TV shows from all your services right from your home screen[2]; and find new things to watch with tailored recommendations for everyone in your home based on their interests and viewing habits
- Watch live TV and access over 800 free channels from Pluto TV, Tubi, and more[3]; if you find an interesting show or movie on your TV, mobile app, or Google search, you can easily add it to your watchlist, so it’s ready when you are[2]
- Up to 4K HDR with Dolby Vision delivers captivating, true-to-life detail[4]; and you can connect speakers that support Dolby Atmos for more immersive 3D sound
Create the YouTube encoder stream and copy its credentials
- Open YouTube Studio and select Go Live. Create a stream or schedule one in Live Control Room.
- Open the stream’s settings and copy the current server URL and stream key. Use the values shown in Studio for this stream, rather than relying on an old example URL.
- Where supported, choose the RTMPS endpoint: in Stream settings, use the lock icon to reveal the RTMPS URL, then copy it. YouTube recommends RTMPS, which encrypts the connection.
- Keep the stream key private. It authorizes an encoder to send video to your stream and functions like a password; do not show it on screen or share it with others.
Set up Larix Broadcaster
- Install and open Larix Broadcaster on the phone or tablet you plan to use.
- Add a connection using the current YouTube server URL and stream key from Live Control Room. Larix’s setup reference describes the connection URL as the server/application path together with the stream key; follow the app’s current fields and format.
- Use RTMPS if the app and your selected YouTube endpoint support it. For YouTube’s documented Larix example, select a video-and-audio mode; that example does not support sending only video or only audio.
- Resolve the source question before broadcasting: check whether this Larix version offers a direct way to choose and play a stored video file. If it does not, do not assume that merely configuring the connection will make a file play.
For YouTube encoder ingest generally, the current settings guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video, frame rates up to 60 fps, CBR bitrate encoding, AAC or MP3 audio, a recommended two-second keyframe interval and a four-second maximum. These are YouTube ingest options, not proof that every Larix version exposes every codec or setting. Choose settings your device and network can sustain, and confirm the actual options in the app and Live Control Room.
If considering screen capture instead
Larix Screencaster is a separate app that streams a device screen; it is not the same app as Larix Broadcaster and does not by itself guarantee that another app’s playback audio will be captured. Softvelum documents platform-specific restrictions on capturing sound from other apps. Treat screen capture as an alternate workflow to test, not as a guaranteed way to send a bhajan video with sound.

Rehearse, go live and end the stream
- Run a private or unlisted rehearsal before the public event. Start the encoder and wait for YouTube’s preview.
- Confirm that the correct video appears, audio is audible, and the watch page works on another device, including a mobile device.
- Monitor picture and sound continuously during the broadcast. YouTube recommends testing and previewing before going live.
- When the preview is correct, select Go live in Live Control Room if the stream is scheduled. When finished, stop the encoder and end the stream from YouTube.
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not rely on this as a substitute for checking the resulting archive after the broadcast.
Bhajan copyright and YouTube rules
A bhajan video may involve rights in both the musical composition and the particular sound recording, as well as rights in accompanying visuals. The fact that a devotional song is familiar, traditional or widely shared does not establish that you can broadcast a specific recording or video. Use material you own or are authorized to stream, and check the applicable rights for each component. Live content must also follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

Troubleshooting
| What you see | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Larix connects, but no prerecorded video plays | The encoder connection is configured, but direct file playout has not been confirmed for this app version. | Check the current app’s available sources on the target device. If there is no direct file source, use a different, separately verified playback-and-encoding workflow. |
| YouTube does not receive the encoder feed | The URL or stream key may be wrong, outdated or entered in the wrong field. | Copy the current URL and key from that stream’s Live Control Room settings; check the connection format and whether the selected endpoint is RTMP or RTMPS. |
| Video appears but there is no bhajan audio | The source may be sending video only, or screen-audio capture may be restricted by the mobile platform or app. | Check YouTube’s preview and the encoder’s audio mode. For screen capture, verify that the OS and app permit the required audio capture. |
| Preview is unstable or the stream drops | The chosen encoding settings may exceed what the device or network can sustain. | Use a bitrate and resolution the device and connection can maintain, then rehearse and monitor before the public stream. |
| The stream will not activate on the channel | The channel may not meet YouTube’s eligibility requirements, or first-time activation may still be processing. | Verify the channel and check for restrictions; enable live streaming in advance because first-time activation may take up to 24 hours. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep uploaded bhajan videos playing on YouTube without leaving a phone or computer on, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera.
