You can run Odia Jagannath bhajans as a continuous YouTube livestream by preparing the channel, clearing rights to every recording and composition, configuring a broadcast in YouTube Studio, and testing the full setup before making it public. YouTube does not guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 delivery: live copyright matching can interrupt a stream, and a local encoder also depends on power, internet and monitoring.
1. Clear the rights to the bhajans first
Before including any recording in a livestream, confirm that you have permission for both the sound recording and the underlying musical composition for this use on YouTube. A devotional subject or the fact that a song is traditional does not by itself establish that a particular recording is free to use. Check who controls the recording and composition, and get permissions that cover livestreaming.

YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party material. A match can replace the video with a placeholder, interrupt the broadcast or terminate it. A license alone may not prevent a live interruption: where a rights holder uses Content ID, ask whether the channel needs to be added to its allowlist. YouTube’s live-streaming copyright policy explains these risks: YouTube copyright rules for live streams.
2. Enable livestreaming and prepare the channel
If this is the channel’s first livestream, enable live access and verify the account in advance. YouTube for Artists says first-time live access should be enabled at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast. Do not leave this step until the day you intend to launch.
#1 Best Overall
Use YouTube Studio’s live workflow to create the broadcast. An encoder is useful when you want more control and customization than a mobile or webcam stream provides; the official guidance does not make a particular encoder or computer model mandatory. Read YouTube’s setup guidance at YouTube for Artists.
3. Choose how to keep the broadcast running
Run an encoder yourself
An encoder-based setup sends your prepared feed to YouTube. It gives you control over the feed, but you are responsible for the computer or device, its internet connection, power and recovery if something stops. The YouTube developer documentation describes the encoder-to-broadcast lifecycle and checking whether stream status is active: YouTube Live Streaming API getting started. It does not establish a complete 24/7 redundancy plan or promise uninterrupted operation.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload your bhajan recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops the uploaded videos in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. StreamNeo is for YouTube and uploaded video; it does not stream from a camera.
- One flat price per slot for any quality up to 4K 60fps as uploaded, with no re-encode or quality tiers.
- Automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free, with no card required; one free day per account.
- Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, and StreamNeo team support.
The same features apply on every plan; only the billing period changes. Options are Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. You can cancel any time. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support.
For Odia bhajan channels in India, UPI is available at checkout. To estimate an upload, use the upload-time calculator; for a cost comparison, use the cloud vs. PC cost calculator. Check the copyright safety checklist as part of your preparation. Nothing needs to stay powered on at home; the stream supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and can recover automatically if YouTube drops it. The first day is free with no card, and the monthly option is $9.99 per month. Start your free StreamNeo day.

Before a public launch, run an unlisted test and verify the whole chain: the playlist or encoder feed, the connection to YouTube, audio and video playback, and the live control room’s status and warnings. YouTube for Artists recommends testing an unlisted stream before a high-production or high-investment event. Check that YouTube is receiving the feed and that the intended bhajans play correctly; an unlisted test is a practical way to catch configuration problems before viewers arrive.
- In YouTube Studio, create the broadcast using the live workflow and select an encoder if that is your chosen delivery method.
- Set the broadcast to unlisted for the test and start the feed from your encoder or cloud service.
- Confirm in the live control room that YouTube is receiving data and that the stream status is active.
- Listen and watch through the test, inspect warnings or interruptions, and confirm that the playlist progresses as intended.
- Resolve any rights or Content ID issue with the rights holder before switching to a public broadcast.
5. Plan for interruptions and ongoing monitoring
A 24/7 broadcast is an operational commitment, not an uptime guarantee from YouTube. For a self-run encoder, plan who will notice a failure and how power, internet and restart issues will be handled. The official YouTube sources do not specify a complete redundancy design. For any setup, monitor the live control room and check whether the feed remains active; do not assume a broadcast will recover automatically unless the service you chose specifically provides that behavior.

Also do not assume that a 24-hour livestream will be archived in full. The cited YouTube guidance does not promise a complete archive for a broadcast of that length. If retaining a full recording matters, plan a separate recording and verify the resulting archive rather than relying on an assumed platform outcome.
Quick Recap
Common problems and what to check
- Livestreaming is unavailable: If the channel has not streamed before, enable live access and verify the account at least 24 hours before the planned start.
- The stream is interrupted after a music match: Check the rights for both the recording and composition, then contact the rights holder about the required YouTube livestream permission and Content ID allowlisting.
- YouTube is not receiving the encoder feed: Check the encoder-to-broadcast connection and the live control room’s status. Use the documented broadcast lifecycle to confirm the stream is active.
- The feed stops during a local setup: Check power, internet and whether the encoder device is still running; arrange monitoring and a restart plan rather than assuming YouTube will restore it.
- The playlist or audio is wrong in the test: Correct the source files or playlist and repeat the unlisted end-to-end test before going public.
