To broadcast Hindi videos as a 24/7 YouTube Live stream from Windows, use OBS Studio’s VLC Video source to play a playlist of local video files, then connect OBS to a stream created in YouTube Studio. Keep the PC, power and internet connection running: looping the files does not keep a stream online if the computer or network stops. If you mean repeat playback for yourself rather than a live broadcast, use YouTube’s playlist Loop control instead.
First decide whether you mean repeat playback or a live broadcast
A YouTube playlist and a YouTube Live stream do different jobs. A playlist is a collection of videos to watch; looping it in the YouTube player repeats playback on your PC. A live broadcast sends video from an encoder such as OBS to viewers through YouTube Live. An ordinary YouTube playlist URL alone does not turn its videos into a live broadcast.

Loop an existing YouTube playlist for viewing
- Open a video you want in the playlist. On its watch page, select More → Save → Create new playlist.
- Name the playlist, choose its visibility and create it. YouTube says a private playlist is visible only to its owner. See YouTube’s playlist instructions.
- For each additional video, choose More → Save and select the playlist. Open the playlist and drag videos to set their order.
- Open a video in the playlist, expand the playlist panel on the right, and select Loop. This repeats playback in the player; it does not create a live broadcast for other viewers. See YouTube’s desktop playlist-loop instructions.
YouTube notes that a video or channel marked Made for Kids cannot be added to a playlist from a homepage, though it can still be added from search results. The steps do not require Hindi-specific settings; choose the Hindi videos you want.

What you need to broadcast local Hindi videos
- A YouTube channel eligible to go live. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. First-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube Help, accessed 2026-10-03. Check YouTube’s encoder setup guidance before scheduling the broadcast.
- OBS Studio. OBS’s download page lists Windows 10 and 11 support; download it from the official OBS site. YouTube describes OBS as open-source software available at no charge.
- VLC installed on the PC. OBS’s VLC Video source depends on VLC; if you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC. See OBS’s Media Sources documentation.
- Local video files in the desired order, with working picture and audio. OBS Media Source supports common formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, MP3, AAC, OGG and WAV. For multiple files played one after another, use VLC Video rather than a single Media Source.
- Rights to stream both the video and its audio publicly. A video being available to watch on YouTube, or being in Hindi, does not grant rebroadcast rights.
Build and loop the file playlist in OBS
- Open OBS and create a scene for the broadcast.
- In the Sources area, add a VLC Video source. Add your local Hindi video files in the intended playback order.
- Leave Loop Playlist enabled. OBS describes this option as restarting the source when it runs out of media files. Shuffle Playlist is off by default, so the list plays in its set order unless you change that option. The OBS documentation page is dated 2022-01-11; labels may differ in newer releases.
- Preview the scene. Confirm that the picture and sound are present and that playback returns from the final file to the first. This catches missing files, silent audio or an incorrectly ordered list before viewers see it.
- While using this local-encoder setup, leave OBS running and keep the PC powered and connected to the internet. Windows sleep, a power loss or a network outage stops the PC from sending video; the loop setting only restarts playback when the media list ends.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live to open Live Control Room. On the Stream tab, create a stream if this is your channel’s first encoder stream. YouTube’s steps are at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- In OBS’s streaming settings, select YouTube if the integration is available. Otherwise, copy the stream URL from YouTube into OBS’s server field and the stream key into its key field.
- Keep the stream key private, as you would a password. Do not put it in a public description, article or screenshot.
- Start streaming in OBS. Check the incoming preview in Live Control Room before making the broadcast public. YouTube creates the stream page after the encoder starts sending.
Plan for long runtimes and archives
A loop can keep the playlist playing, but it does not provide continuous monitoring or restart a PC after a crash. With a local setup, someone must be able to respond to computer, power, internet or encoder failures if the broadcast is expected to resume. YouTube’s archive guidance says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived and recommends keeping a local backup; a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. This is YouTube Help guidance accessed 2026-10-03, not a guarantee that every shorter stream will have a complete archive. If the recording matters, use shorter broadcasts, keep a local recording backup and check YouTube’s current guidance at Archive live streams. Do not assume one 24-hour broadcast will produce one complete archive.

Clear rights before streaming Hindi video and music
YouTube’s live-stream terms require the content provider to have the necessary rights for streamed material, including music rights; see YouTube’s Terms of Service. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it identifies such material, a placeholder can replace the stream, and continuing to show the material can lead to a temporary interruption or termination. Even licensed third-party content may require the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; see YouTube’s guidance on live-stream restrictions. Prefer original videos or material whose license explicitly permits public live streaming and any archive you plan to keep.
Troubleshooting common failures
- OBS shows no video or audio: Confirm the files still exist at the paths you added, check the OBS preview and audio meters, and verify the files play locally. If using VLC Video, ensure VLC is installed and matches OBS’s architecture.
- The final video plays but the playlist stops: Open the VLC Video source properties and enable Loop Playlist. Confirm the files are listed in the intended order.
- YouTube does not receive a signal: Check that OBS is streaming, the PC has internet access, and the YouTube stream URL and key were copied into the correct OBS fields. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
- You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification and any live-stream restriction, and allow for YouTube’s first-time enablement delay, which may take up to 24 hours.
- The broadcast is interrupted after copyrighted material appears: Review the video and music rights, and ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting when appropriate. A license alone may not prevent an automated interruption if the channel is not allowlisted.
- The stream disappears or the archive is incomplete: Check the PC, OBS, power and network for interruptions. YouTube says a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all; keep a local recording if you need a dependable copy.
