How to Stream Gujarati Garba Music 24/7 on YouTube from a VPS

You can run a 24/7 Gujarati Garba broadcast from a VPS by looping authorized media through FFmpeg and sending the output to YouTube’s live ingest. That moves the encoder off your personal computer, but it does not guarantee an uninterrupted stream: channel eligibility, music rights, server and network reliability, and YouTube’s handling of the broadcast all matter.

Before you set up the VPS

Confirm YouTube live-streaming eligibility

YouTube says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days to enable live streaming; the streamer must be at least 16. Check the channel’s current status in YouTube Studio before you build the setup. If this is a music channel’s first live broadcast, YouTube for Artists advises enabling live streaming at least 24 hours before the planned stream. Clear the music and recording rights

Make a track-by-track inventory and confirm that your permission covers the specific recording and composition, the territories where you intend to stream, a continuous public livestream, and any archive or video-on-demand use you plan. A purchase, credit in the description, or a generic “royalty-free” label does not by itself establish permission for a particular recording.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. If you have licensed third-party music, ask the rights holder, label, or distributor to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist where applicable; YouTube warns that a stream may still be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted. Choose and prepare the VPS

A VPS hosts the encoder away from your home computer, but no particular provider or VPS specification is established here. Before choosing a plan, check sustained network egress and transfer limits, CPU capacity for your encoding approach, storage for the media library, server region and latency to YouTube’s chosen ingest, recovery and support options, and total cost. Confirm the provider’s current specifications directly rather than relying on a plan label alone.

Prepare the audio files and any visual input you are authorized to use. Make a playlist or other repeatable media sequence, verify that the files play correctly, and keep a copy of your rights records. Use documentation matching the FFmpeg version installed on the VPS because options and behavior may change between versions.

Configure FFmpeg to loop and send the stream

FFmpeg documents -stream_loop -1 as infinite input looping. It is an input option, not a complete universal command: the right command depends on whether you have audio only, a video background, multiple files, and the output format and settings selected for YouTube. Consult the FFmpeg manual for your installed version and configure the output to match YouTube’s current ingest guidance.

Retrieve the stream URL and key from YouTube Studio’s live control room and configure FFmpeg to publish to that ingest. Treat the stream key like a password: do not put it in a public script, screenshot, or log, and regenerate it in YouTube Studio if it is exposed. The source material here does not establish a universal bitrate, resolution, frame rate, keyframe interval, or one-size-fits-all FFmpeg command, so do not copy settings meant for a different media file or encoder.

Run it as a background service and test

  1. Start FFmpeg with the loop option appropriate to your input and the YouTube ingest details from Studio.

  2. Run the process under a background service or supervisor so it can start again after a process or VPS restart, and save its output to a log you can inspect.

  3. When running FFmpeg as a background task, use -nostdin or redirect standard input as described in the FFmpeg FAQ. This prevents terminal input checks from suspending the task.

  4. Test the actual stream as private or unlisted before making it public. YouTube for Artists recommends an unlisted test, particularly for higher-production or higher-investment streams. Check both playback and the server-side process.

  5. After the test, make the broadcast public if appropriate and continue monitoring YouTube Studio and the VPS logs.

What can interrupt a 24/7 broadcast

“24/7” is an operating goal, not a guarantee. A VPS can keep your personal computer out of the delivery path, but the server, its network, the FFmpeg process, YouTube ingest, or platform enforcement can still interrupt the broadcast. FFmpeg has protocol-level reconnect options, but those do not prove end-to-end recovery of a YouTube live stream after every failure. FFmpeg protocol options · YouTube copyright guidance

Or let it run in the cloud

If you do not want to maintain an FFmpeg process and VPS, StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for looping uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer can be off; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Uploads stream as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot. The first day is free with no card, and the monthly option is $9.99 per month.
