To stream a Telugu video playlist continuously on YouTube Live, use an encoder to play the playlist on repeat and send its output to YouTube. Set the repeat in the encoder—not in YouTube’s HLS playlist settings—then check the Live Control Room preview and monitor playback, picture, and sound. Before going live, confirm you have the rights to rebroadcast every video.
Before you set up the stream
- Your YouTube channel must be verified, and it must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. See YouTube’s live streaming tips.
- Choose an encoder that can play your Telugu videos as a playlist and repeat them. The exact repeat control depends on the encoder and its version; YouTube’s setup guidance does not specify those controls.
- Make sure you have permission to rebroadcast every video, including its audio. Channel eligibility and a successful technical setup do not grant content rights.
- Have a reliable upload connection with enough capacity for the video settings you choose. YouTube recommends testing upload bitrate and encoder settings before the intended broadcast.
How to set up a continuous Telugu playlist stream
- Prepare the playlist. Put the Telugu videos in the order you want them to play. Check that each file plays correctly and that its audio is present. If the playlist mixes resolutions or frame rates, test transitions between files before broadcasting.
- Prepare a broadcast in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room, create or schedule the stream, and choose the ingestion protocol that your encoder will use. YouTube recommends RTMPS for ordinary live content. Use HLS only when you have an HLS-capable encoder and a reason to use HLS.
- Connect the encoder to YouTube. Copy the stream key and the relevant server or stream URL from Live Control Room into the encoder’s YouTube output settings. Keep the stream key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your broadcast. If you suspect it has been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Set the source to repeat. In the encoder, add the playlist or media source and enable its repeat, loop, or equivalent setting. The control name and location vary by encoder. Check the encoder preview to confirm that playback advances through the playlist and returns to its first item rather than stopping.
- Set output and protocol settings. Match the encoder’s output to the protocol selected in Live Control Room. For RTMPS, consult YouTube’s current encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions for the resolution and frame rate you plan to stream, and test that your upload connection can sustain the selected bitrate. YouTube’s recommendations cover video and audio codecs, keyframe frequency, bitrate encoding, frame rate, and audio settings; use the current guidance rather than copying a fixed bitrate without regard to your resolution and connection.
- Run a test and inspect YouTube’s preview. Start the encoder and wait for the signal to appear in Live Control Room. If practical, test privately or unlisted first. Confirm the image and audio are correct, the broadcast is accessible as intended, and the playlist continues through a complete loop.
- Start and monitor the intended broadcast. Check audio and video quality while it is live. For a continuous playlist, also check that playback does not pause or end and that audio remains present at the loop boundary. If you record locally, verify the recording as well.
Choose between RTMPS and HLS
The ingestion protocol is how the encoder sends its signal to YouTube. It is separate from the Telugu content playlist: setting a source video to repeat is an encoder playback setting, not a YouTube HLS manifest setting.

| Protocol | When it fits | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| RTMPS | The usual choice for an ordinary live broadcast when the encoder supports it. | YouTube recommends RTMPS, the secure extension to RTMP. Follow YouTube’s current encoder settings for your chosen output and available upload capacity: encoder settings and bitrates. |
| HLS | When your encoder can output HLS and your stream requires that workflow, including certain format or HDR cases. | Select HLS in Live Control Room and use the HTTPS stream URL with an HLS-compatible encoder. YouTube’s HLS setup guidance specifies Transport Stream segments, HTTPS POST/PUT, segment durations of 1–4 seconds, and a rolling playlist with no more than five outstanding segments. HLS has higher latency because it sends video in segments rather than as a continuous RTMP-style stream. |
The HLS segments and media playlist carry the live signal to YouTube; they do not arrange or loop your Telugu source videos. For technical details, see Google’s HLS ingestion guide.

- Playlist loop: Let the encoder play through the end of the playlist during a test. Confirm that it returns to the first item without stopping or leaving a gap.
- Audio: Listen across a file change and the loop boundary. A silent or mismatched transition may be caused by the source files or how the encoder handles playlist items.
- Signal in Live Control Room: Start early enough to see the YouTube preview and address encoder or connection problems before the intended broadcast. YouTube’s live streaming tips advise setting up ahead of time, checking the preview, and monitoring audio and video during the stream.
- Access and archive: Check that viewers can access the broadcast as intended. If you are recording locally, verify that the recording is being created and can be played.
- Rights: A video playing successfully or appearing in the preview does not confirm that you may rebroadcast it. Resolve permissions for the full playlist before making the stream public.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely area to check | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The encoder preview stops at the end of the playlist. | The source’s repeat setting may be off or unsupported for that playlist type. | Check the encoder’s current documentation for its repeat control, enable it, and test a complete cycle before reconnecting to YouTube. |
| YouTube does not show an incoming signal. | Protocol mismatch, stream URL or key error, or encoder output not started. | Confirm the protocol selected in Live Control Room matches the encoder output, then check the copied URL and key. Keep the key private and replace it if exposed. |
| The stream appears, but picture or sound is wrong. | Encoder output settings, source-file playback, or audio handling between playlist items. | Check the encoder output against YouTube’s current settings guidance, inspect each source, and test transitions in the encoder and YouTube preview. |
| Playback pauses or the connection becomes unstable. | Source playback, encoder operation, or insufficient upload capacity for the selected settings. | Test the full playlist locally in the encoder, verify the source continues running, and test upload bitrate before lowering or changing output settings. |
| HLS has more delay than expected. | HLS sends video in segments rather than continuously like RTMP. | Allow for HLS’s higher latency, or use RTMPS if it better fits your encoder and broadcast needs. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want the playlist to keep running without leaving a computer or home connection on, StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops the video from the cloud; it does not stream from a camera.
