To keep a recorded real estate webinar playing on YouTube Live, send the video through an encoder that can loop or continuously schedule it. Create or schedule an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, enter its stream URL and key in the encoder, then start the feed and check it in the Live Control Room. YouTube does not loop an uploaded webinar into a live stream by itself: the encoder or a cloud playout service must keep sending video.
Choose the right viewing experience first
A continuous YouTube Live stream is a live feed of the recording, not an on-demand replay link. Someone who joins partway through generally sees the stream at its current point rather than automatically starting at the beginning. If viewers need to choose when to start, keep a separate on-demand replay. If you want people to attend together at a set time, schedule the live event and share its upcoming watch page.

YouTube’s DVR setting can let viewers pause, rewind, and continue during a live stream. Decide whether that control fits the experience you want before going live; scheduling, DVR, continuous playout, and a separately available replay solve different audience needs. Confirm permission for every part of the webinar
Before rebroadcasting, confirm you have the rights needed for the recording and all included material: guest contributions, music, slides, and third-party clips or images. YouTube’s live terms put responsibility on the content provider to have necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights. A recording having been used in an earlier webinar does not, by itself, establish permission for a new public live broadcast. YouTube Terms of Service.

Verify that the channel can go live
YouTube says live streaming requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time live-streaming enablement may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube Help, so enable and verify it well before the planned start. YouTube Help: get started with live streaming.
Prepare the replay file
- Use the final webinar recording, including the intended opening, closing, branding, captions, and audio.
- Watch the beginning and end, especially if playback will repeat. A clean transition depends on the file and playout setup; do not assume every encoder will create a seamless loop.
- Keep a separate master recording. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, but its guidance does not promise a complete archive for streams longer than 12 hours. Do not make a long-running live stream your only copy. YouTube Help: schedule a live stream.
There is no single file format or repeat procedure established here for every encoder. Check the current documentation for your chosen software or service to confirm that it can play your file, loop it or schedule it continuously, and handle the intended duration.

Create the YouTube Live stream
- Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room.
- Create a stream for an immediate broadcast, or schedule it for later. Scheduling creates an upcoming watch page that you can promote in advance and can help viewers set reminders.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the event. Enter both in the encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone with access to it may be able to send content to your channel.
- Keep the Live Control Room open so you can check the preview and stream health before and during the broadcast.
Follow YouTube’s current instructions for creating or scheduling the event and connecting an encoder; labels may change over time. YouTube Help: create a live stream with an encoder.

Set up continuous playback and encoder output
Make sure something keeps feeding the encoder
For uninterrupted playback, the recording must keep feeding the encoder, or a cloud playout service must do it. YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud service for 24/7 streams of prerecorded videos. YouTube also lists AJA HELO Plus as a hardware encoder example with prerecorded-media streaming, but neither named option is required for a single replay. If choosing software, verify its current looping or playlist behavior directly; the available YouTube guidance does not specify a universal repeat setting for every encoder. Match output settings to the source and connection
YouTube’s general encoder guidance recommends H.264, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval, with keyframes no more than four seconds apart. Its bitrate recommendations vary by resolution and frame rate. Match the output to the source video and a stable upload connection rather than selecting the highest available quality automatically. YouTube transcodes incoming live streams into playback formats for viewers. Consult the current bitrate table for the resolution and frame rate you intend to send. Test before relying on the broadcast
- Set up the encoder well in advance. YouTube advises starting it at least 15 minutes before a scheduled event.
- Start the feed and wait for the Live Control Room preview. Check representative motion and audio, not just a static opening frame.
- Open the event’s watch page and confirm it is reachable. Check it on the devices your audience is likely to use.
- Monitor audio, video, and stream health continuously. Keep a way to access the encoder or playout service if the feed stops or quality deteriorates.

Common problems and what to check
- No preview appears: Confirm the encoder is sending to the stream URL for the correct event and that the matching stream key is entered accurately. Check that the encoder is actually playing the file and connected to the internet.
- The broadcast stops after one play: The source or encoder may not be configured to repeat or continue a playlist. Check the selected encoder’s current instructions; YouTube itself does not turn an uploaded video into a loop.
- Viewers report poor or unstable video: Compare the encoder’s resolution, frame rate, and bitrate with the source and YouTube’s current guidance. Check whether the upload connection can sustain the selected output.
- Audio is missing or wrong: Listen to the Live Control Room preview and verify the correct audio track and encoder input before sharing the event.
- The event is unavailable to go live: Check channel verification and live-stream restrictions, and allow for first-time enablement, which YouTube says may take up to 24 hours.
- The recording is absent or incomplete afterward: YouTube’s cited automatic archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours; it does not promise a complete archive for longer streams. Retain the master recording independently.
Archive and monetization limits
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. For a continuous broadcast lasting longer than that, the cited guidance does not establish that a complete archive will be available.
