Check live-stream eligibility
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Streamers must be at least 16. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so check access before announcing a broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.

Confirm rights to the music and visuals
You need permission for every recording and visual in the programme, including permission for the intended YouTube Live use and territories. Depending on the material, rights may involve both the musical composition and the sound recording. Ask rights holders whether they require your channel to be allowlisted in Content ID, and whether permission covers an archived replay as well as the live broadcast.

YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions state: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” Read YouTube’s terms and its copyright guidance for live streams.

A public playlist or a track labelled “free” does not establish that you can rebroadcast it. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; it may show a warning and placeholder image, then temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream if the material remains. Even a licensed track can be interrupted if its Content ID owner has not allowlisted your channel. YouTube says to contact the owner about allowlisting when you have a licence.
Creator Music is not a substitute for live-stream permission: YouTube says it does not support licensing for live content. Its described track uses apply to long-form videos, not live streams. See Creator Music FAQs and Creator Music usage details. YouTube’s safe music guidance identifies public-domain music and music used with the rights owner’s permission as options; a “free” label alone does not prevent a Content ID claim.

Choose how to keep the programme running
YouTube supports software encoders and standalone hardware encoders. Either can send the playlist’s audio and an accompanying visual to a live stream. The choice is about your operating setup, not a YouTube guarantee that one method is more reliable.

YouTube’s guidance does not establish an optimal audio bitrate, image format, or unattended playlist application for this particular workflow. Use settings supported by your encoder and source material; test them rather than assuming a universal preset is right.

Set up and test the YouTube Live broadcast
- Verify access: confirm the channel can go live and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Prepare the programme: arrange the authorized Marathi devotional recordings in the intended order. Choose a visual that you also have the right to use; do not assume that permission for a song covers its artwork or video.
- Create or schedule the event: open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a live stream. In the Live Control Room, obtain the stream URL and stream key. YouTube’s encoder setup guide explains the encoder workflow.
- Connect the encoder: enter the YouTube stream URL and key in your software or hardware encoder, then load the playlist and visual. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Preview before going public: start the encoder and check the Live Control Room preview. Confirm the audio is intelligible, the visual appears correctly, and track transitions work as intended.
- Run a private or unlisted test: check the watch page on both mobile and desktop. If you need a local recording, confirm that it is actually being written and can be played back.
- Go live and monitor: after the test passes, start the public broadcast. YouTube recommends checking accessibility, the preview, and stream quality. Arrange a person or reliable process to notice audio problems, encoder failures, and a dropped connection; YouTube does not prescribe a particular redundancy system or guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Plan for interruptions and replays
Keep the live programme recoverable
A 24/7 schedule needs more than a playlist: power, internet access, and the encoder can fail, and YouTube may interrupt a stream over detected third-party content. Decide who will check the broadcast and what they will do if it stops. Backup power, a backup network connection, or another operator are practical choices, not stated YouTube requirements. Test the recovery process before relying on it.
Do not rely on one 24-hour archive
YouTube’s encoder guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not promise a complete replay for one 24-hour broadcast. If automatic archives matter, consider scheduling shorter sessions and check each processed archive. A separate local recording can provide another copy if your setup supports it; verify that the file is being saved and retained. Shorter sessions require more scheduling and handoffs, while a continuous stream offers viewers more continuity but does not assure a complete YouTube replay.
