Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteYou can run a prerecorded meditation video as a continuous YouTube Live stream from an India-located VPS by enabling live streaming on your channel, copying the current server URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room, and sending a looping video feed to that endpoint. Use RTMPS when available, configure the encoder for constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval, and test sustained upload and stream health before depending on it. A VPS keeps the encoder process off your personal computer, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted streaming: you remain responsible for supervision, reconnection and monitoring.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel eligible to enable live streaming. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
- An India-located VPS with enough storage for the video and sustained outbound capacity for your chosen stream settings. No particular VPS plan or provider has been established as sufficient; test the actual server and route you select.
- A prerecorded meditation video and an encoder process that can repeat it continuously. The steps below describe the YouTube setup and required settings, but do not prescribe an unverified FFmpeg command or Linux service configuration.
- A way to supervise the encoder, detect a dropped connection, restart or reconnect it, and check YouTube’s stream preview and health.
Configure YouTube Live and get the stream details
- Enable live streaming. In YouTube Studio, follow the live-streaming setup flow. If this is the channel’s first time, allow up to 24 hours for activation before troubleshooting the encoder.
- Create or select a stream. Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and create a stream or select the one you intend to use. Copy the server URL and stream key displayed there; use the current details rather than an endpoint copied from an old tutorial. YouTube’s instructions are at YouTube Help.
- Protect the key. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a stream to your channel. Keep it out of public logs, screenshots, shared scripts and support messages. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
Prepare the VPS and encoder
Upload the video to the VPS and configure an encoder that can send its audio and video repeatedly to YouTube. The VPS needs enough disk space for the file and a stable outbound connection for the entire session. A server in India is a location choice, not a guarantee of a particular route, upload rate or uninterrupted service.
Use the server URL and stream key from Live Control Room as the encoder destination. Prefer RTMPS if the encoder supports it. YouTube describes RTMPS as a secure extension of RTMP, and Google’s developer guidance specifies the rtmps protocol over port 443: RTMPS ingestion documentation. Use the endpoint surfaced for your stream in YouTube rather than assuming every channel or setup uses an identical URL.
Choose resolution, bitrate and keyframes
Set the output to a resolution and bitrate your VPS can sustain continuously. YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends CBR and a two-second keyframe interval, with keyframes no more than four seconds apart. Its listed H.264 bitrate recommendations include:

| Output setting | YouTube H.264 recommendation |
|---|---|
| 1080p at 30 fps | 10 Mbps |
| 720p at 60 fps | 6 Mbps |
| 240p–720p at 30 fps | 4 Mbps |
These are YouTube encoder recommendations, not a VPS plan specification or a guarantee that a server can sustain the rate. Check the current guidance at YouTube’s live encoder settings. Measure sustained upload and leave headroom rather than selecting a target at the limit of the VPS connection. If the outgoing feed fluctuates or stream health degrades, test a lower resolution or bitrate.
For India context, the National Informatics Centre’s Government webcast page advises checking outbound access on RTMP port 1935 and cites 2–4 Mbps dedicated bandwidth per stream for its own webcast service: NIC webcast services. That is NIC service guidance, not YouTube’s bitrate recommendation or a YouTube requirement. For YouTube, use YouTube’s settings and test the actual VPS route and egress.

Test, start and monitor the loop
- Start with a test. Send the feed to YouTube before relying on it for a long session. Check that the Live Control Room preview shows the intended picture and audio, and review stream health while the encoder is running. YouTube recommends testing the upload bitrate and stream behavior before going live.
- Check the loop boundary. Watch a transition from the end of the video back to its beginning. Confirm there is no unwanted blank interval, broken audio or abrupt setting change at the loop point.
- Start the live stream. Start the encoder’s outgoing feed using the current URL and key. Follow the status shown in Live Control Room and verify the stream is actually reaching viewers as intended.
- Keep the process supervised. For a continuous stream, arrange process supervision, reconnect behavior, alerts and periodic checks of YouTube’s preview and health. These are operational responsibilities of a self-managed long-running encoder; VPS hosting by itself does not ensure the process will run indefinitely or recover after every failure.
- Stop deliberately. Stop the encoder’s outgoing content when you want to end the stream. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume the same automatic archiving for a session lasting 12 hours or longer. See YouTube’s live-streaming guidance.
Troubleshooting common failures
- You cannot start a live stream: confirm live streaming is enabled for the channel and allow for the first-time activation period, which YouTube says can take up to 24 hours.
- YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: check that the URL and key match the current Live Control Room details, that the key has not been reset, and that the VPS can make outbound connections to the selected endpoint. Prefer the current RTMPS endpoint when supported; Google’s documented RTMPS ingestion uses port 443.
- Stream health is poor or the feed drops: measure sustained outbound capacity from the VPS and compare it with the selected bitrate. Reduce resolution or bitrate if needed, test again, and leave connection headroom. A VPS location alone does not establish route quality.
- Video or audio breaks at the loop: inspect the transition in a test stream and verify the encoder is repeating the intended file and its audio correctly. Do not rely on a long live session as the first test.
- The encoder stops and does not resume: inspect the process and connection logs, then confirm supervision and reconnect handling are configured. YouTube’s encoder guidance does not supply a VPS-specific restart policy or guarantee continuous availability.
Copyright, reused content and monetization
Technical ability to send a looping video does not establish that the video is cleared for use, satisfies every YouTube channel policy, or qualifies for monetization. Make sure you have rights to the meditation audio, visuals and any other included material, and check YouTube’s current content and monetization policies for your specific channel and video. YouTube’s live-streaming setup documentation explains the encoder workflow, not blanket policy approval or guaranteed monetization: YouTube Help. The encoder cannot make an otherwise unlicensed or policy-ineligible video compliant.

If you do not want to maintain a VPS encoder, StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. The basic steps are to upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded video from the cloud; it does not stream from a camera or send to other platforms.
