A YouTube playlist URL alone does not create a live broadcast. First enable live streaming on your channel, obtain the rights to every recording and composition, connect an encoder to a YouTube stream key, and test the feed before launch.
What you need for a 24/7 worship stream
- A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours; YouTube also says the channel must be verified and have had no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days. - An encoder that sends a live audio-and-video feed to YouTube. It can be software running on a computer or a standalone hardware encoder; the computer is not the only supported option.
- A continuous source configured to repeat recordings, plus a stable internet connection and someone or something able to monitor the stream.
- Permission to livestream both the sound recordings and the underlying music in the territories where the broadcast is available.
YouTube’s documented encoder workflow is to create or schedule a stream in YouTube Studio, copy its stream URL and key into the encoder, then start the encoder and check the preview. Its setup guidance does not describe a built-in control that turns an ordinary YouTube playlist into a 24/7 live stream.

Clear music rights before building the playlist
Do not assume a recording is cleared because it is publicly viewable, labelled “free,” or credited in a description. YouTube’s terms make the provider responsible for securing the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights from artists, labels, publishers and other rights participants. For each Bengali Christian worship recording, confirm permission for both the particular recording and the underlying composition, and check that the permission covers livestreaming and the relevant territories. Keep written records of permissions and any required Content ID allowlisting. YouTube identifies public-domain music and music used with the copyright owner’s permission as copyright-safe; writing “free” in a description does not prevent a Content ID claim. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can replace the image with a placeholder, trigger a warning, interrupt the stream or terminate it. Even where you have a licence, YouTube says the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the stream not to be interrupted. YouTube live-stream copyright guidance
Set up the continuous YouTube broadcast
- Check live access. In YouTube Studio, confirm that live streaming is available for the channel. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation and check for restrictions before choosing a start time. Encoder setup · Live-stream tips
- Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, open Go Live and create or schedule an encoder stream. Copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder using its connection settings. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your channel. YouTube encoder setup
- Build the repeating program. Add only recordings cleared for this use to the encoder’s media source or repeat-playback setup. Configure it to continue through the selected recordings and repeat them. This looping behavior is an encoder-side requirement for a continuous feed, not a feature YouTube documents as a playlist-URL workflow. Test transitions and confirm that audio continues between recordings.
- Set and check encoder output. YouTube recommends RTMPS where supported; lists H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video encoding options, with AAC or MP3 audio; recommends constant bitrate encoding; and recommends a two-second keyframe interval, not over four seconds. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. YouTube stream settings
- Test before going public. Run a test using representative worship audio and video. Check the Live Control Room preview, listen for clean sound, inspect the watch page and review YouTube’s stream-health indicators. - Start and monitor. Start the encoder, confirm that YouTube receives the feed, then monitor the encoder, connection and live output. Leave network upload headroom: YouTube recommends about 20% above the stream’s bitrate. A network interruption can break the stream, so test the actual location and connection you plan to use. Plan for connection drops and the replay archive
A 24/7 broadcast depends on the encoder, its playback source and the network continuing to send a feed. YouTube’s settings and testing guidance does not establish a guaranteed 24/7 setup or promise that any particular encoder will restart playback or recover after a failure. Check the chosen encoder’s repeat, reconnect and monitoring behavior, and decide who will respond if the feed stops.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That statement does not promise one complete replay archive for a stream that runs continuously for 24 hours or longer. If preserving the whole program matters, arrange a separate recording or divide the broadcast into shorter sessions. YouTube live-stream archive guidance
