You can run a continuous Tamil-language YouTube ambience stream by sending a prepared birdsong-and-forest feed through a live encoder, then keeping that encoder and its internet connection running. First confirm that your channel is eligible to livestream, clear the rights to every sound and image, and test the feed at the quality your sustained upload connection can support. “24/7” describes your intended schedule, not guaranteed uptime.
1. Check YouTube live-stream eligibility
Before preparing the feed, verify the channel and confirm that livestreaming is available. YouTube says a channel needs to be verified and must have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days; streamers must also be at least 16. Check YouTube’s current eligibility and policy guidance before your first broadcast, since channel-specific restrictions can affect access.

For a planned continuous broadcast, an encoder is a suitable way to send a designed audio-and-visual feed. YouTube describes encoder streaming as an option that can accommodate overlays and audio equipment such as microphones and preamps. See YouTube’s live-streaming overview.
2. Choose audio and visuals you have permission to use
Decide whether to use existing audio and visuals with rights that cover your intended YouTube broadcast, or to create your own ambience recordings and images. Do not assume that a sound or video is free to rebroadcast because it is available online. Check the license and provenance of each asset, including whether it allows livestreaming and any conditions on attribution or use.

If you record outdoors, check whether recording is permitted at that specific location and follow the relevant site rules and local requirements. Permission to capture a sound at a place and permission to broadcast the resulting recording are separate questions.
Recording your own birdsong is optional
A portable recorder or stereo microphone can help you capture original ambience, but it is not a prerequisite: a creator with suitable, rights-cleared audio can build the feed without buying recording gear. YouTube’s encoder guidance mentions microphones and preamps as possible equipment; it does not endorse a particular recorder or model.

3. Build a Tamil-friendly ambience feed
Prepare the audio and visuals in your encoder or production workflow. A simple presentation might pair a forest image or video loop with a continuous birdsong recording. Check that the sound plays smoothly, the visual does not distract from the ambience, and any on-screen text is legible.
Tamil titles, descriptions, captions, on-screen messages, and chat moderation are editorial choices for the audience; YouTube’s technical requirements do not prescribe Tamil-specific settings. Write the channel and stream information in the language and style you want your viewers to see, without assuming that one format guarantees an audience or a particular result.

4. Configure and test the encoder
Use YouTube’s current encoder settings as a starting point, then test the complete feed under conditions representative of the planned broadcast. YouTube recommends checking upload bitrate, testing with representative audio and motion, and monitoring stream health. Use the settings published on YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions page; its recommendations can change.
Choose a quality your connection can sustain
Run an upload-speed test and select resolution, frame rate, and bitrate that your connection can maintain consistently. A speed-test result is not a guarantee of sustained performance, so test the actual encoder and feed rather than relying on a single peak reading. A static nature scene may have less visual motion than fast-moving footage, but test with the real video and audio you plan to broadcast.

Use YouTube’s published encoder parameters
- Ingestion: YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS for encoder streaming.
- Video: supported codecs listed include H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1; YouTube lists frame rates up to 60 fps.
- Keyframes: use the recommended two-second interval and do not exceed four seconds.
- Rate control: YouTube recommends CBR.
- Audio: YouTube lists AAC or MP3.
- Bitrate examples: for H.264, YouTube lists 4 Mbps for 240p–720p at 30 fps and 10 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps. These are platform recommendations, not a claim that every ambience stream needs those resolutions or rates.
Use the current resolution-specific table for the exact output you choose. Do not select a higher setting just because it is available: the sustained connection and stable delivery matter more than a peak specification.

- In YouTube Studio, create or select the live broadcast and locate its stream key and connection details.
- Enter the stream key in your encoder’s YouTube or custom RTMP/RTMPS destination settings. Treat the key like a password; do not publish or share it.
- Configure the encoder’s resolution, frame rate, bitrate, keyframe interval, codec, and audio format using YouTube’s current recommendations and the capacity of your connection.
- Start a test transmission and check that the picture, birdsong, and any text or overlays arrive as intended. Test at the quality and with the kind of audio and motion planned for the real stream.
- Watch YouTube’s stream-health indicators during the test. If the connection is unstable, reduce the output bitrate or resolution and test again before relying on it for a long broadcast.
- Once the feed is stable, start the broadcast from the encoder and confirm in YouTube Studio that it is live.
YouTube’s HLS ingestion documentation is aimed at encoder vendors and advanced integrations; an ordinary encoder workflow does not require configuring HLS. The standard encoder settings page is the relevant starting point for this setup.

5. Keep the broadcast running and monitor it
A continuous stream depends on the encoder, power, network connection, and feed remaining available. Keep the computer and encoder running for the intended duration, ensure the connection is stable, and monitor YouTube’s stream health. Plan how you will notice and respond to a stopped feed; a “24/7” label does not promise uninterrupted operation.
Google’s Live Streaming API documentation describes a 24/7 live-feed scenario and an additional broadcast bound to the same stream. That is a documented technical pattern, not an uptime guarantee for an individual channel or setup. The API details are most relevant to developers building integrations, rather than required steps for a typical creator using an encoder. See Google’s explanation of YouTube broadcasts and streams.
Optional: horizontal and vertical presentation
YouTube’s current guidance supports horizontal and vertical presentation under supported setups. Decide whether the extra layout is useful for your channel before going live: YouTube says the vertical format cannot be added after a stream has started. A single horizontal layout may be simpler for a static forest ambience feed.
