How to Stream 24/7 Shiva Mantra Chanting on YouTube from India

You can run a 24/7 Shiva mantra stream from India by enabling YouTube Live on a verified, unrestricted channel, using an encoder or cloud playout to send a rights-cleared audio-and-video feed, and testing it before making it public. A repeating recording is not the same as a live performance: either way, you need permission for the specific recording and visuals, and YouTube may interrupt a stream over third-party content even when you have a licence.

Decide what “24/7 chanting” means for your channel

A continuous channel can carry a live performance or repeat a recording. A live performance means someone is actually performing during the broadcast. A looped stream plays pre-recorded material through a live broadcast; it does not turn that recording into a live performance. Choose the format before setting up your feed, and describe it accurately to viewers.

  • Live performance: Arrange the performer, audio, visuals, and equipment needed to keep the performance going, with a plan for breaks and technical interruptions.
  • Repeating recording: Prepare the audio and visuals you are entitled to use, then send them through an encoder or a cloud playout service capable of looping them.
  • Personal listening: If the goal is only to listen privately, a public YouTube broadcast is not necessary. This guide is for a channel broadcasting to an audience.

Confirm that your channel can go live

YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube for Artists advises enabling your first live stream at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast. Check access in YouTube Studio before investing time in the production setup; the review and activation can take time. 1. Sign in to the Google account that manages the channel and complete YouTube’s channel verification steps if needed.
  2. Open YouTube Studio and start the live-stream setup. Follow any prompts to enable live streaming.
  3. Allow at least 24 hours before the planned first broadcast, as advised by YouTube for Artists.
  4. Before going public, confirm the channel has no live-streaming restriction and that Studio lets you create or schedule a stream.

Choose how to keep the stream running

YouTube supports mobile, webcam, encoder, and console streaming methods. For a continuous audiovisual programme, an encoder is a practical option because it can send a prepared feed and accommodate production elements such as overlays. YouTube’s cited guidance does not prescribe a particular encoder, computer specification, bitrate, or guaranteed 24/7 configuration; choose settings supported by your encoder and network, and test the actual feed rather than assuming a setup will remain stable indefinitely. YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming

Local encoder setup

  1. Prepare the audio and video as a continuous programme in an encoder that supports YouTube Live. Arrange looping or a live performance in the encoder or production setup you choose.
  2. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and retrieve its stream key using YouTube’s current stream setup. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not control the broadcast.
  3. Enter the stream key in the encoder’s YouTube destination settings. Use the encoder’s supported output settings and test whether the connection remains steady on the internet connection you plan to use.
  4. Start the encoder, then check YouTube Studio’s preview and stream status before making the broadcast public. Confirm that both the chant audio and visuals are present and properly synchronized.
  5. For an initial test, use a private or unlisted broadcast. Verify the full playback path, then schedule or start the public stream when ready.

There is no bitrate or computer-specification figure established by the cited YouTube guidance for this particular 24/7 use. Select settings appropriate to the encoder, source material, and available connection, and verify them in an end-to-end test instead of relying on a generic number.

Cloud playout

A cloud playout service can send uploaded recordings without requiring your home computer to remain on. This is distinct from going live from a camera or performing live: it plays the material you upload. Confirm that the service supports the intended YouTube workflow, and make sure you have cleared the rights for every recording and visual before using it.

Clear rights for every chant recording and visual

Devotional subject matter does not automatically make a recording free to rebroadcast. A chant can involve separate rights in the underlying composition, a particular performance, the sound recording, and any accompanying image or video. Do not assume that a recording is reusable because it is religious, widely shared, or available online.

YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in another live broadcast. If it detects such content, it may replace the picture, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. YouTube also warns that a live stream can be interrupted even when the channel has licensed third-party content if the rights owner has not added the channel to its Content ID allowlist. For copyright-protected music, YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with the label or distributor to avoid issues such as copyright strikes. YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams · YouTube for Artists: Live streaming

  • Use material you created yourself, material that is genuinely public domain, or material covered by permission or a licence that allows this kind of public live broadcast.
  • Check that the permission covers the specific recording and performance, online public communication, continuous or repeated streaming, and any intended territories or monetization.
  • If a label, distributor, or other rights holder controls Content ID, ask them to allowlist your channel where appropriate; keep written confirmation of permissions and allowlisting.
  • Clear every visual too, including devotional artwork, photographs, video footage, and any text or design supplied by someone else.

India’s Copyright Act defines “communication to the public” to include making a work or performance available to the public through diffusion. That is a reason to take rights in chants and their recordings seriously, not a case-specific legal opinion. Copyright Act, 1957 (India)

Test and operate the broadcast deliberately

Before launch

  • Test the full signal in a private or unlisted stream: audio level and clarity, visuals, continuity, and the connection between your playout method and YouTube.
  • Schedule the broadcast and announce it to viewers if you want them to find it at a particular time.
  • Decide who will monitor chat. If no moderator is available, consider disabling chat rather than leaving it unmanaged.
  • Keep YouTube Studio available so you can see warnings, stream status, and service interruptions.

Google’s live-streaming checklist supports preparation and testing, but it does not promise continuous uptime. A 24/7 target needs an operating plan for interruptions, not just a successful launch. YouTube Help: Live streaming checklist

During a long-running stream

Check Studio for copyright warnings, stream interruptions, and other status messages. Decide in advance who can restart the encoder or playout and who can respond to chat. If a stream is interrupted over a content match, do not simply restart the same material without resolving the rights or Content ID issue.

Or let it run in the cloud

For a repeating recording, StreamNeo is a cloud option for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded material from the cloud, so no computer, OBS, or home connection has to stay on. It does not go live from a camera, and it streams to YouTube only.

What to expect from monetization in India

On 7 July 2026, YouTube announced that Gifts were launching in India for eligible creators. Eligible creators can enable Gifts in Studio; the announcement says enabling Gifts removes access to Super Stickers on live streams. These features depend on eligibility and are not an earnings forecast. YouTube’s announcement also reported that the number of Indian channels earning seven figures or more in INR revenue was up by over 20% year over year, based on YouTube internal data from December 2025. That broad platform figure does not establish likely earnings from devotional livestreaming. YouTube India blog, 7 July 2026

Troubleshooting common interruptions

Symptom Likely issue What to do
You cannot start a live stream The channel is not verified, live access is not yet enabled, or a restriction applies. Check channel verification and live access in YouTube Studio, allow the activation period advised for a first stream, and review any restriction notice.
Studio receives no encoder feed The encoder is not sending to the intended stream setup, or its stream key is incorrect. Check that the encoder destination matches the stream created in Studio and re-enter the correct key privately. Do not expose the key publicly.
Audio or visuals are missing or out of sync The prepared feed or encoder configuration is wrong. Run a private or unlisted test and inspect the audio and picture in Studio before returning to a public broadcast.
YouTube interrupts the stream after a content match A recording, performance, image, or video may match third-party content; a licence may not be reflected in Content ID. Review Studio’s notice, confirm rights for the matched material, and contact the relevant rights holder about channel allowlisting. Do not resume the same feed until the issue is addressed.
The broadcast stops when a local setup loses power or internet A local encoder depends on the computer and connection that are sending the feed. Restore the local setup and connection, then check Studio before restarting. If using a cloud playout option, verify its own status and YouTube connection.
Chat becomes difficult to manage The stream lacks active moderation. Assign a moderator before launch or disable chat if nobody can monitor it.
