You can keep morning prayers and aarti available on YouTube around the clock by sending a live camera feed or rights-cleared prepared audio and visuals through an encoder, then monitoring the stream and planning for interruptions. YouTube does not promise uninterrupted service, and a stream lasting more than 12 hours may not be archived. For a do-it-yourself setup, confirm your channel’s live access, connect an encoder in YouTube Studio, test the feed, and arrange recovery and replay plans before launch.
Before you start: check access, content and the broadcast plan
Confirm live-stream eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to go live. Its general eligibility guidance says streamers must be at least 16. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it and confirm access well before the planned broadcast. YouTube live-streaming eligibility

Choose what viewers will see and hear
You can show a live view of a prayer or aarti, or use prepared visuals with audio and video you have rights to stream. For a venue broadcast, arrange permission to film and consider whether worshippers, private spaces, or other sensitive details might appear in frame. A camera is optional if prepared visuals suit the broadcast.

Clear every element for livestream use
Devotional subject matter does not itself grant rights to a recording, arrangement, performance, image, or video. YouTube scans live content for third-party matches. A match may replace the video with a placeholder and can temporarily interrupt or terminate the broadcast if the matched material remains. Even if you have a licence, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the stream to proceed without an interruption. Set up the YouTube livestream with an encoder
- Prepare the broadcast. Choose a live camera feed or assemble the prepared, rights-cleared material you intend to send. Confirm power, network access, and who will monitor the stream.
- Create the stream in YouTube Studio. Open the Live Control Room, create a stream, and copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the encoder workflow. YouTube’s setup walkthrough describes the current steps: Set up your encoder for live streaming.
- Enter the connection details in your encoder. Paste the server URL and stream key into the corresponding encoder fields. Treat the key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Do not publish it or show it on screen.
- Choose sustainable video and audio settings. YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS encoder connections, H.264 video, and AAC or MP3 audio. Its encoder guidance recommends constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval; the interval should not exceed four seconds. Settings depend on resolution and frame rate. For H.264 at 1080p30, YouTube lists a recommended bitrate range of 5–14 Mbps—not a universal requirement for every stream. YouTube recommended encoder settings
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Send the feed, then confirm it appears correctly in the Live Control Room before starting the broadcast. Check that prayer audio is intelligible, picture and sound are synchronized, and the intended visuals are showing.
- Start the broadcast and keep watch. Follow the Live Control Room workflow to go live. Monitor stream health and audio/video quality while the broadcast is running; a 24/7 plan needs someone or a service able to notice and respond to problems.
Choose resolution and bitrate for a stable connection
Use a setting your connection can sustain continuously, rather than choosing the highest possible quality and risking interruptions. YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload headroom above the combined bitrate of the primary and backup streams. Measure sustained upload capacity and account for other devices or services using the same connection. The required bitrate changes with resolution and frame rate, so consult YouTube’s encoder settings for the configuration you select rather than treating the 1080p30 range as a rule for other formats.
| Decision | What to consider | Practical trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Visual source | Live camera view or prepared visuals | A venue view needs suitable lighting, framing, venue permission, and attention to privacy. Prepared visuals can avoid the need for a camera, but their use must be rights-cleared. |
| Encoder | Software or hardware encoder | Compare cost, operator skill, stability, and recovery options. YouTube supports encoder workflows but does not endorse a particular product. |
| Resolution and bitrate | Match the encoder output to sustained upload capacity | Higher visual quality requires more bandwidth; reserve upload headroom for reliability. |
| Archive | YouTube archive and/or a local recording | Automatic archiving may help with shorter broadcasts; a local recording adds storage and operating work but gives you a separate replay copy. |
| Rights | Clear compositions, recordings, performances, images, and filming permissions | Rights to one element do not automatically clear the others; Content ID matching may require channel allowlisting by the rights owner. |
Test the complete setup and plan for interruptions
Before launch, run a private or unlisted test using representative sound and motion. Check YouTube’s preview and stream-health indicators, listen to the audio on a viewer device, and verify any local recording. Test the actual network and encoder you intend to use; a short test cannot guarantee that the setup will stay connected indefinitely.

- Encoder or computer failure: decide who can restart the encoder or switch to a backup source.
- Power or network loss: consider what happens if the location loses power or internet access, and how the broadcast will resume.
- YouTube interruption or rights warning: monitor the Live Control Room and have a rights-cleared replacement source available where practical.
- Long-running operation: define who checks the stream and how often, including overnight, rather than assuming that a successful launch means the broadcast is healthy.
This recovery planning is an operational necessity for an around-the-clock goal, not a YouTube uptime guarantee. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring, but uninterrupted availability depends on the full chain: source, encoder, connection, platform, rights status, and response to failures. Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Plan replays separately from the live broadcast
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived and recommends keeping a local archive backup. A stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. If replay access matters, do not rely on a single continuous 24-hour broadcast being saved: retain a local recording or plan shorter, separate broadcasts with an archive workflow.
