Prepare your channel and Live Control Room
- Enable live streaming early. Verify your YouTube channel and check that it has no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. - Check the preview before going live. Start the encoder or playout, wait for the preview, and verify that the image and audio are correct. Monitor stream health during operation rather than assuming that a successful start means the feed will stay healthy.
Set a conservative video and audio profile
For an all-day broadcast, stability matters more than selecting the highest resolution your equipment can briefly produce. Choose settings your encoder and internet upload can sustain continuously, then test them with representative bhajan audio and visuals.

- Starting point: YouTube’s current recommendation for 720p at 30 fps is a 2 Mbps video bitrate. This is a platform setting reference, not a guarantee that a particular connection will remain reliable.
- Rate control: YouTube’s general encoder guidance recommends constant bitrate (CBR).
- Keyframes: Use a two-second keyframe interval as YouTube recommends.
- Protocol: YouTube supports RTMP and RTMPS and recommends RTMPS for encryption.
See YouTube’s live encoder settings for its current technical guidance. Resolution, frame rate, and bitrate should be chosen together: if the upload connection fluctuates or the encoder drops frames, reduce the load and test again.
Build the bhajan playlist and visual
Prepare the playlist before starting an unattended stream. Use a static image or simple animation if you do not have a live visual; check that the audio plays at an even level and that the visual does not expose private or misleading information. Run through the playlist in order, including transitions and any repeated items, so you know what viewers will hear when it loops.

For a 24/7 schedule, decide whether uninterrupted viewing on one live page or complete replay files matter more. YouTube warns that a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured as an archive. Clear music rights before broadcasting
A bhajan’s devotional or traditional character does not, by itself, establish that a particular arrangement or recording is free to use. Check the rights for the composition, lyrics, arrangement, and sound recording you intend to play. Confirm that permission covers the relevant territories and both live broadcast and any archived replay.

YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. The status of an individual Marathi bhajan recording depends on its specific work, recording, ownership, and license; the platform’s general guidance cannot determine that for you.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A detected match may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; continued use can interrupt or terminate the broadcast. If you have licensed the material, YouTube advises asking the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. An archived stream can also receive a Content ID claim after it ends. Read YouTube’s live-streaming copyright guidance and resolve permissions before building an always-on schedule around a recording.

Test, monitor, and recover
- Run a representative test. Use the actual playlist, visual, encoder settings, and network you plan to use. Check that the stream appears in Live Control Room and that the preview audio and video are correct.
- Watch stream health. Monitor YouTube’s health status and listen for interruptions, clipping, silence, or abrupt level changes. Keep an eye on the playlist and the device or service that is sending it.
- Have a response for failure. If the feed stops, check the encoder or playout first, then the upload connection and Live Control Room status. Restart or reconnect the encoder if needed and verify that the preview returns before treating the stream as restored.
- Protect the archive you need. For a broadcast over 12 hours, make a local recording if a complete replay matters; YouTube may not capture the full stream.
