You can keep a YouTube stream of Hindi retro songs running without OBS or an always-on computer by using a cloud playout service: upload recordings and visuals you have permission to broadcast, arrange them into a playlist, connect the service to YouTube, and start the stream. The cloud handles delivery, but it does not grant music rights or prevent YouTube from interrupting a stream over a copyright match.
What you need before starting
- A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled and account verification completed. YouTube for Artists advises doing this at least 24 hours before your first planned broadcast: Going Live for Music Channels.
- A cloud playout service that supports uploaded media, playlists, YouTube delivery, and continuous looping. Provider feature descriptions are not independent reliability tests, so check current limits and recovery behavior before depending on a service.
- Broadcast permission for every composition and sound recording in the playlist, covering the territories and uses you intend, including any archive or monetization if applicable.
- A plan for checking YouTube Studio during the broadcast and responding to warnings or interruptions.
Clear the Hindi retro catalogue first
Do not assume that a song’s presence on YouTube, a music subscription, or ownership of a physical copy permits rebroadcasting it as a continuous live stream. A track can involve separate rights in the composition and the particular recording. Get permission that specifically covers the recordings you will use, the live broadcast, relevant territories, duration, and any planned archive or monetization.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. Its Help page says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match may result in a placeholder, warning, interruption, or termination. Even if you have a license, the rights owner or distributor may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Confirm that before launch; a license alone may not stop an automated interruption. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Set up the 24/7 stream without OBS
- Enable live streaming in advance. Verify the channel and turn on live streaming at least 24 hours before the first planned broadcast, as advised by YouTube for Artists. Leave time to resolve account setup issues.
- Prepare the playlist. Upload only cleared recordings and the visuals you are permitted to use to your chosen cloud service. Build a playlist in the order you want it to play, and check how the service handles the end of the list, transitions, and changes while live. Upstream and 247 LiveStream describe cloud workflows using uploaded media and playlists, but their descriptions are provider claims rather than independent audits: Upstream’s YouTube radio station guide and 247 LiveStream.
- Connect the YouTube destination. Follow the provider’s current setup flow. If it asks for a stream key, copy it from the relevant YouTube Studio live-stream settings and enter it only into the intended service. Treat the key like a password: do not post or share it. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the service.
- Run a private test. Before announcing the channel, test the complete path as a private stream in YouTube Studio. Confirm that YouTube receives the picture and audio, the playlist advances and loops as expected, and the stream remains live. Google’s Live Streaming Guide recommends privately testing the full setup.
- Go public and monitor it. Confirm the live status in YouTube Studio, check for copyright notices, and have someone check in during the broadcast. Keep your original files and rights records. A cloud service can deliver media, but it cannot resolve a rights dispute or override a YouTube restriction.
Choose a cloud service carefully
For a no-OBS, no-local-computer setup, cloud playout directly fits the job: the service runs the playlist remotely and sends the feed to YouTube. When comparing options, verify the details that affect a 24/7 music stream rather than relying on a general “continuous” claim.

Common problems and fixes
- YouTube does not accept the stream key: Check that you copied the current key for the intended live stream and that the destination settings in the cloud service match. If the key was exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the service.
- The stream starts but stops or shows a placeholder: Check YouTube Studio for a copyright notice or restriction. Pause the affected material and contact the rights owner or distributor about the license and Content ID allowlisting; restarting the encoder does not fix an unresolved rights match.
- The playlist does not loop or advance as expected: Verify the playlist order and loop behavior in the service, then test privately before returning to public streaming.
- The feed is live but there is no usable audio or picture: Check the uploaded files and preview them in the service, then repeat the private end-to-end test. Confirm the stream in YouTube Studio rather than relying only on the provider’s status.
- The channel is not yet eligible to go live: Complete verification and live-stream enablement early; YouTube for Artists advises allowing at least 24 hours before a first broadcast.
Keep the stream compliant after launch
Maintain a track-by-track record of what is playing and the permissions covering each recording. Recheck the playlist before making changes, especially if a new track comes from a different rights holder. YouTube can scan a live broadcast while it is running, so keep a human monitoring plan even when delivery is automated. No reviewed source establishes a reliable audience-growth, revenue, or success-rate figure for 24/7 Hindi retro streams; plan around rights, continuity, and the channel’s own results rather than assumed outcomes.
