You can use OBS Studio to send an authorized Bengali Rabindra Sangeet playlist to YouTube continuously, but OBS does not supply music rights or keep a stream running by itself. You need permission for the actual recordings and other protected material, a computer and network connection that stay available, and a plan for YouTube’s live copyright checks. This guide covers the rights checks, OBS setup, testing, and the cloud alternative.
Before you set up OBS, clear the music rights
Check the rights for every track you intend to broadcast. A song’s composition, a particular sound recording, and an arrangement can involve different rights holders. The fact that a composition is old, a track is available online, or you own a copy does not establish that you may use it in a continuous YouTube livestream.

YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions put responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights for Live Content, including music licensing rights involving artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Get permission that covers the use you plan, including archived playback if you want YouTube to keep the stream recording.

Ask about Content ID allowlisting
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content. A match can interrupt or terminate a stream. If you have licensed music, ask the relevant rights holder whether your channel must be added to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams says a license alone may not prevent interruption when the channel is not allowlisted.

Choose whether to archive
Live transmission and the saved recording can be treated differently. YouTube says Content ID claims may be made after an archived livestream completes. Confirm your permission covers both uses if you plan to leave the replay available; otherwise, decide how you will handle the archive before going live.
Prepare YouTube and your equipment
Enable livestreaming ahead of time
YouTube for Artists advises music channels to verify their account and enable live streaming at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast. See its Going live for music channels guidance. That is useful lead time, not a complete statement of every current account eligibility condition, so check the requirements shown in your YouTube account.

Keep the encoder and network available
OBS runs on your computer and sends the program over your internet connection. For a genuinely continuous broadcast, both the encoder and the network path must remain available. Consider what happens during a computer restart, power interruption, internet outage, or OBS failure. The right hardware and backup arrangement depends on what you already own and your local conditions; no particular computer, UPS, audio interface, or storage device is a universal requirement.

Build and test the 24/7 program in OBS
- Prepare an authorized playlist. Organize only recordings and visuals you are permitted to broadcast. Keep a record of which permissions apply to each recording and whether they cover an archive.
- Create the OBS program. Add the authorized audio and visual sources you want viewers to see. Set up the transitions and looping behavior for your intended program, then listen and watch through a complete cycle to catch gaps, abrupt transitions, silence, or unexpected desktop audio.
- Connect OBS to YouTube. Create or select the YouTube live broadcast and connect the encoder using the current YouTube and OBS interfaces. Follow the on-screen connection instructions and protect your stream key: anyone with access to it may be able to broadcast to your channel. Exact menu labels can change, so use the current prompts rather than relying on an old click-by-click path.
- Run a private test before going public. Check audio levels, image and scene transitions, the end-to-start playlist handoff, and the stream status visible in YouTube. Test the network and decide who will monitor the broadcast and respond to a failure. Testing helps expose problems but cannot guarantee uninterrupted uptime.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Confirm the program is reaching YouTube, then keep the computer and network available. If YouTube interrupts the stream, investigate the notice and any copyright match instead of repeatedly restarting with the same unaddressed track.
- Apply your archive decision. After the stream, handle the saved video according to the rights you obtained and your earlier archive choice. YouTube may issue Content ID claims after a livestream ends.
OBS is open-source software that is free to use, including commercially under its stated license, according to the OBS Help Portal. That software permission does not grant permission to rebroadcast music.

Common problems and what to check
- YouTube interrupts or terminates the broadcast: Review YouTube’s notice for a third-party match. Confirm that the license covers livestream use and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting.
- The stream will not start: Check that livestreaming is enabled for the channel, complete the verification steps shown in YouTube, and confirm you are using the intended live broadcast and stream key.
- There is silence, clipping, or an unexpected sound: Check the audio sources and levels in OBS, then listen to the full playlist cycle. Ensure desktop or microphone audio is not entering the program unintentionally.
- The stream stops during an outage or restart: OBS depends on the computer and network remaining available. Check local power, connectivity, and OBS status; establish a monitoring and restart plan appropriate to your setup.
- A claim appears on the replay: Review the claim and your permissions for archived playback. YouTube notes that Content ID claims can be made after a livestream completes.
