To stream a 2026 MLB playoff game, check its network on the official MLB schedule, then open that network’s app or use a TV or streaming package that carries it. The route changes by round: Peacock carries the NBC Wild Card games, TBS games require a package with TBS, and FOX/FS1 games—including the World Series—are available through FOX One and, with eligible TV-provider login, FOX’s site and app. MLB.TV alone does not provide every U.S. postseason game live.
Find the right streaming service for the game
The 2026 network assignments below follow FOX Sports’ 2026 postseason guide, updated August 13, 2026. Specific FOX or FS1 assignments and game times may be announced closer to the games, so check the live MLB schedule for the matchup you want.

| Round | Network in the guide | Streaming route |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Card Series | NBC | Peacock; these games are not available live on MLB.TV in the U.S. |
| ALDS | TBS | A TV or streaming package that carries TBS. |
| NLDS | FOX or FS1 | FOX One; FOX games are also on FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports App with eligible TV-provider login. |
| ALCS | TBS | A TV or streaming package that carries TBS. |
| NLCS | FOX or FS1 | FOX One; FOX games are also on FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports App with eligible TV-provider login. |
| World Series | FOX | FOX One; FOX games are also on FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports App with eligible TV-provider login. |
FOX Sports summarizes the approach this way: “Fans can stream postseason games through services that carry the scheduled broadcast network.” For a particular game, verify the network and start time in the MLB live schedule.
Watch on a smart TV
- Look up the game. Find its date and network in the MLB schedule.
- Choose the matching app or package. Use FOX One for FOX/FS1 coverage, Peacock for NBC coverage, or a TV or streaming package that includes TBS. TBS availability varies by package and local lineup.
- Check your TV before subscribing. Search the TV’s app store for the service and confirm that your exact model and operating system are supported on the service’s current help page. The available sources do not establish a complete model-by-model compatibility list for FOX One or Peacock.
- Sign in and test access. Follow the app’s sign-in or TV-provider authentication prompts. A channel appearing in a service’s general lineup does not by itself confirm that it is included in your local package.
If your TV cannot run the needed app, you can use a compatible connected streaming device. ESPN’s supported-device list for MLB.TV through ESPN includes Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Fire TV, Android TV, and Apple TV/tvOS, among other categories. That list establishes device support for MLB.TV through ESPN, not access to every streaming service or playoff game.

Watch on a phone or tablet
- Check the game’s assigned network in the MLB schedule.
- Install the app for the service that carries it: FOX One or the FOX Sports App for FOX games, Peacock for NBC games, or a TV-provider app or supported streaming service for TBS.
- Sign in with the relevant service account. FOX Sports App and FOXSports.com access to FOX games requires eligible TV-provider login; other services may require their own subscription or authentication.
MLB.TV through ESPN lists iOS, Android mobile devices, and Fire Tablet among its supported device categories. Device compatibility does not change which games the service is authorized to stream.
What MLB.TV does—and does not—stream live in the U.S.
MLB.TV is not a universal live pass for the U.S. postseason. According to MLB’s postseason availability guidance, eligible U.S. subscribers need FOX or TBS through a participating Pay TV provider to authenticate for select live games. MLB lists providers including DirecTV, Dish, FuboTV, Spectrum, and Verizon Fios; check its current provider list to confirm eligibility. Wild Card games carried by NBC/Peacock are not available live through MLB.TV in the U.S.

For U.S. subscribers, MLB says live audio and full-game archives become available 90 minutes after a game concludes. International MLB.TV subscribers can watch postseason games live except in Canada; archives are available on demand 90 minutes after a game. Availability can differ by country, so consult MLB’s game-availability guidance rather than assuming the U.S. rules apply everywhere.

Check these details before paying
- Network: Does the service carry the game’s assigned channel—NBC, FOX, FS1, or TBS?
- Local lineup: Is that channel included for your ZIP code and package?
- Authentication: Does the stream require a participating Pay TV account or TV-provider login?
- Device: Does the exact TV, streaming player, phone, or tablet support the app?
- Cost and terms: Check the service’s current price, trial conditions, and cancellation terms directly. Current prices and package availability were not established in the cited guides.
A live-TV package may carry several relevant networks, but no single package is established here as carrying every required channel in every market.
