Use a four-layer storage system
1. Sleeve cards as soon as they are opened
Put each card in a sleeve made for standard-size trading cards before sorting, shuffling, or stacking it. Magic cards use the standard trading-card size, so look for packaging that explicitly says standard size rather than miniature, Japanese-size, or another format. Ultra PRO’s catalog, for example, lists packs of 100 standard-size sleeves, which is the relevant accessory category.
Opening a pack over a clean table reduces the chance that grit reaches the sleeve opening. Hold a card by its edges, slide it into the sleeve without bending the corners, and keep the sleeved cards in a temporary stack while you finish opening the product. If a sleeve catches a corner, remove it and use a fresh sleeve instead of pushing harder.
2. Put play cards in a rigid deck box
Cards that will be shuffled, taken to events, or carried between locations belong in a rigid deck box after sleeving. The cited Ultra PRO 100+ Deck Box is made from rigid polypropylene and is described as holding up to 100 standard-size cards when they are double-sleeved. That capacity is a ceiling for the stated configuration, not a target to exceed; a box that is difficult to close is overfilled.

Store the deck upright if the box supports that orientation, and do not place a heavy object on the lid.
3. Display special cards in a 4-pocket binder
A 4-pocket trading-card binder or portfolio is suited to the unique Arcanum promos, the two alternate-art mythics you receive, favorite full-art lands, and visually important foils. Use removable pages or pockets rather than adhesive mounting. Place cards into pockets gently, keep the binder supported when turning pages, and stop adding cards if a page bows or the cover no longer closes naturally. A binder is for selected cards, not a way to force the entire bundle into one display volume.
4. Reserve the included card box for bulk
The Arcanum Bundle card box is useful for keeping unsorted commons, basic lands, duplicates, sealed inserts, and other bulk contents together. Add dividers or labeled sections so you can find cards without repeatedly emptying the box.

Asmodee’s listing confirms that the card box is included, but it does not describe an archival rating, humidity control, or a preservation test. Keep cards sleeved inside it and use the box for organization; do not treat its inclusion as proof that it provides controlled long-term environmental protection.
Open, sort, and store the bundle step by step
- Prepare a clean work area. Clear liquids, food, loose paper, and abrasive objects from the table. Have standard-size sleeves, a temporary stack, dividers, a deck box, and a binder ready before opening packs.
- Open one product component at a time. Keep the promos, lands, booster contents, Collector Booster cards, and inserts in separate temporary piles. This prevents a special card from disappearing into a bulk stack.
- Sleeve every card. Sleeve foils, regular cards, lands, and cards you may later trade or play. Consistent sleeve dimensions make later sorting and storage easier.
- Identify the exclusive pieces. Set aside the mechanically unique traditional-foil mythic promo, the two traditional-foil alternate-art Arcanum mythics, and any other card whose art or treatment you want to preserve or display.
- Choose a destination for each pile. Put cards for active decks in the rigid deck box, selected display cards in the 4-pocket binder, and remaining sleeved bulk in the supplied card box.
- Label the bulk sections. Use dividers for commons, duplicates, full-art Bifrost lands, regular-frame basic lands, sealed inserts, and cards awaiting a final decision. Write labels on removable dividers rather than on cards or sleeves.
- Record what you received. A simple list can note the unique promo, the two alternate-art mythics, foil and regular land counts, and which six-card selection produced your two alternate-art cards. This is useful when checking the collection later without repeatedly handling the cards.
- Move containers to stable storage. Once sorting is complete, place the binder, deck box, and bulk box away from direct sunlight, liquids, and large temperature or humidity swings.
How to choose sleeves that fit Darkhold Destiny cards
Look for the phrase “standard-size trading cards” on the sleeve package. That designation is the evidence-based fit requirement for Magic cards; the cited accessory catalog lists 100 standard-size sleeves. If you plan to double-sleeve, test the complete combination with a few ordinary cards before sleeving the exclusive promos.
Single-sleeving
Single-sleeving is practical for bulk cards and decks that need to fit normal storage capacity. The sleeve should sit flat around the card, with no corner folded under and no excess slack that allows the card to slide out when the stack is handled.

Double-sleeving
Double-sleeving adds a second barrier but increases thickness. Check the final stack in the actual deck box before committing the entire collection. The cited 100+ deck-box example is rated for up to 100 standard-size cards double-sleeved, so use that published figure as a capacity reference and leave room if the fit is tight.
When to replace a sleeve
- Replace sleeves with split seams, cloudy surfaces, bent corners, or openings that no longer hold the card securely.
- Replace a sleeve if dirt has entered it rather than trying to wipe the card through the plastic.
- Keep replacement sleeves from the same product line together when appearance consistency matters for a deck.

Transport and play procedures
Before leaving home
- Confirm that the deck box closes without pressure and that no card edge protrudes.
- Carry only the cards needed for the session in the rigid deck box; leave display promos in the binder or home storage unless they are specifically being shown.
- Keep the deck box inside a bag compartment where it cannot rub against keys, tools, or unprotected objects.
At the table

- Cards awaiting sorting.
- Commons and uncommons.
- Duplicates and trade candidates.
- Full-art Bifrost lands.
- Regular-frame basic lands.
- Sealed inserts and non-card contents.
- Cards reserved for future decks.
Keep labels broad enough to survive future changes. If a section becomes difficult to browse, split it with another divider instead of compressing the cards. The exact capacity of the included box is not stated, so let fit and ease of removal determine how much it holds.
Inspection and maintenance schedule

After moving the collection
Recheck corners and sleeve openings after transport. If a container was compressed in a bag or exposed to unusual heat or dampness, allow it to return to the normal room environment before tightly repacking it.
Common problems and fixes
The deck box will not close
Remove cards until the lid closes without force. Check whether double-sleeving increased thickness beyond the box’s practical capacity. The cited example supports up to 100 double-sleeved standard cards, but individual sleeve brands and card stacks can fit differently.
Cards are hard to remove from binder pockets
Do not pull on a corner. Support the page, open the binder flat, and ease the sleeved card upward by its edges. Move the card to a roomier page if the pocket is too tight.
The bulk box feels cramped
Separate cards by category, remove empty packaging, and add dividers. If cards still cannot be removed without rubbing, use another standard card box rather than forcing more into the supplied box.
A sleeve is split or cloudy
