To stop every website notification in Chrome on Android, open Chrome > More > Settings > Site settings > Notifications and turn off the top-level Notifications setting. To keep alerts from some sites, leave it on and block only the sites you do not want.
How do I stop Chrome notifications?
In Chrome, tap More (the three-dot menu), then go to Settings > Site settings > Notifications. Turn off the top-level setting to prevent websites from sending notifications through Chrome. Menu labels or placement can vary slightly between Chrome versions. See Google’s Chrome notification settings for Android.
If you would rather keep useful alerts, leave the top-level setting on and block individual sites instead.
How do I stop notifications from one website?
You can change a site’s permission without changing notifications for every other site.

- Open the site in Chrome.
- Tap the icon immediately to the left of the address bar. Depending on the Chrome version, it may be described as Page info or View site information.
- Open Permissions, find Notifications, and block the site.
You can also manage site permissions from More > Settings > Site settings > Notifications, where available sites are listed. Google explains both approaches in its guidance on changing site settings and permissions on Android.

Can I unsubscribe from a notification already on my phone?
On some devices, you can swipe down to open the Android notification shade and tap Unsubscribe on the website notification. Google notes that this option is not available on every device. If you do not see it, block the site through Chrome’s notification settings instead. See Chrome Help’s Android notification instructions.

Why am I still getting pop-ups after I blocked notifications?
Website notifications and pop-ups or redirects use separate controls. Disabling pop-ups does not automatically revoke a site’s notification permission, and blocking notifications does not itself change the pop-up setting. Check the site’s Notifications permission separately if alerts continue. To manage pop-ups, go to More > Settings > Site settings > Pop-ups and redirects; Google documents this separate control in its Android pop-up and redirect guidance.
Why did Chrome block a site or remove its permission?
Chrome may automatically block notifications it identifies as intrusive or misleading. It may also remove permissions from sites you have not visited for a while or sites it considers disruptive. To review permission removals, open More > Settings > Safety Check. Google says Safety Check provides a way to undo its changes; its Chrome safety and security guidance for Android describes the review process.

When should I check for an unwanted app?
A website notification by itself does not show that your phone has malware. If intrusive ads appear across apps or you notice other unexpected device behavior beyond Chrome site alerts, check installed apps and use Google Play Protect as part of troubleshooting. Google recommends those steps for relevant unwanted-app symptoms in its guide to removing unwanted ads, pop-ups, and malware on Android.
