A raised camera bump can become a high contact point, making the phone rock when it lies flat. The practical fixes are to add a suitably placed low-profile grip, use a case with a built-in stand, or put the phone on a compatible mount. Which works depends on your exact phone, case and accessory placement; no cited comparison establishes a universal wobble-prevention product.
Why a phone with a camera bump rocks
When the camera bump touches the desk before the rest of the phone’s back can sit evenly, the phone may tilt or rock. An attachment can help only if its installed position creates stable contact alongside the bump. Alternatively, a stand or mount avoids leaving the phone flat on the desk.

That makes it a relevant example, not a guarantee: compare the grip’s installed height and location with your own camera bump and case. Choose a stand case if propping the phone up suits you
SUPCASE lists a MagSafe ring kickstand on its UB MAG Stand case for the iPhone 16 6.1-inch (2024), along with raised screen and camera bezels: SUPCASE UB MAG Stand for iPhone 16. Use a magnetic mount when the phone does not need to rest on the desk
Belkin’s guidance for its magnetic phone tripod mount recommends a thin magnetic-compatible case with a flat back and checking that the phone does not wobble or slide once attached. If the phone does not attach firmly, a compatible case or magnetic ring accessory may be needed. This is an off-desk alternative, not evidence that the mount levels a phone lying flat.
Check the fit before relying on a fix
- Identify your exact phone model and whether you use a case; a product made for another model may not fit.
- For a grip, compare its installed height and position with the camera bump. A low-profile attachment is useful only if the resulting contact points are stable.
- For a case stand or mount, check the maker’s compatibility guidance and confirm the phone sits securely in the intended position.
- If you use wireless charging or magnetic accessories, check whether the added grip, case or ring interferes with them.
- Try the setup on the surface where you plan to use it. A mount’s own stability and the phone’s grip on it matter as well as the phone’s camera bump.
