To keep a Tamil podcast available as a YouTube livestream around the clock, first make sure your channel is eligible, then connect an encoder or managed cloud service to a YouTube Live event and test playback before going public. A local encoder gives you direct control but depends on a computer, power and internet connection staying available; a cloud service can take the hosting work off your home setup. Either way, confirm you have rights to every episode, music track and visual you plan to loop.
Check whether your channel can livestream
YouTube’s stated eligibility conditions are that the channel is verified and has had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Livestreams must also comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. A restriction resulting from a strike prevents livestreaming for 14 days. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance for current account requirements.
YouTube documents limits of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key. These are concurrency limits, not a recommendation to run multiple copies of the same feed.
Choose how to keep the feed running
Run an encoder on your own computer
You can use a suitable computer and encoder software such as OBS. This is a practical option if you already have a host you can leave running and can maintain its power and internet connection. The computer, encoder and connection become part of the broadcast chain: if one fails, the feed may stop or drop frames. OBS notes that dropped frames can indicate an unstable connection or a bitrate the connection cannot sustain. Its help portal offers troubleshooting guidance.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Use a managed streaming service
A managed service can host a prerecorded loop without requiring your home computer to stay on, but the provider’s features, continuity arrangements, plan terms and prices are specific to that service. Check those details before choosing; no service comparison here establishes a guaranteed uptime or independent reliability ranking.
StreamNeo is the first cloud option to consider for this workflow: it loops uploaded videos to YouTube from the cloud at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and the first day is free. See StreamNeo for its service details.

Prepare the Tamil podcast feed
Choose what the stream will show and play
Decide whether the feed will play full episodes in sequence, repeat a selected set of episodes, or use a persistent visual while audio plays. An encoder workflow is flexible for overlays and other input hardware; YouTube describes encoder streaming as supporting overlays and equipment such as preamps, microphones and cameras. For a prerecorded feed, check that each episode and its visual can loop cleanly and that the audio is audible throughout.
Confirm rights before building the loop
Check permissions for every episode, guest recording, music track, image, clip and other visual in the rotation. YouTube requires live content to follow its content policies, but the platform’s general guidance cannot determine whether you hold rights to a particular recording or track. Do not assume that a podcast’s existing publication or a guest’s participation grants permission to rebroadcast all included material.

Decide how episodes will appear as broadcasts
A continuous feed does not automatically create a separate YouTube broadcast for each episode. Google’s Live Streaming API documentation describes a way to keep a 24/7 feed going while creating and completing a second broadcast from the same stream, but this is API resource management—not a built-in episode-splitting control promised for every standard creator setup. See Google’s explanation of broadcasts and streams if you are building an API-based workflow.
Start with a local encoder
- Verify the channel and access Live Control Room. Check that the channel meets YouTube’s eligibility conditions before scheduling a launch.
- Create or configure the live event in YouTube Studio. Set the event details and visibility, then follow the Live Control Room prompts for the encoder connection.
- Copy the stream key into your encoder. Treat the key as a credential: use the key associated with the event and do not publish or share it. Connect the encoder to YouTube using the event’s connection details.
- Configure the loop in your encoder. Add the episode files or playlist and the visual treatment you intend to keep on screen. Confirm the sequence and that the source continues when one episode ends.
- Start a test stream before the public launch. YouTube recommends configuring the encoder well ahead of an event, checking the Live Control Room preview and testing with public or unlisted visibility. Use an unlisted test if you want to inspect the result without promoting it to viewers.
- Check real playback. Watch from the channel or watch page and from a mobile device. Confirm that both audio and video are present and that the event is accessible as intended.
- Plan monitoring and failover. Decide who will check the feed and what they will do if the encoder, computer, power or connection fails. If you have a backup encoder, test takeover before relying on it; YouTube’s tips suggest stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet connection to verify the backup. Review YouTube’s live-streaming tips for its setup and monitoring advice.
Keep a 24/7 feed operating responsibly
- Monitor the stream’s audio, video and encoder connection instead of assuming a successful launch means it will remain healthy.
- Watch local storage if the encoder also saves recordings; a growing archive can consume disk space.
- Have a recovery plan for a computer restart, power loss or unstable internet. OBS identifies dropped frames as a sign that the connection may be unstable or unable to sustain the selected bitrate.
- Retest after changing the playlist, visual layout, encoder or connection. Confirm the viewer-facing page still plays correctly.
- Do not promise viewers uninterrupted service or automatic archiving of a continuous feed. Neither is established by the cited YouTube guidance.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. It streams the files as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; if YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo says it automatically recovers. The first day is free with no card required, one free day per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. What to check when the stream fails
The event will not go live
Recheck channel verification and recent live-stream restrictions, then confirm the encoder is connected to the event’s stream key. If the channel has an active restriction, it may not be eligible to livestream until the restriction period ends.
The stream drops frames or disconnects
Check the encoder’s connection status and internet stability. Dropped frames can mean the connection is unstable or cannot keep up with the bitrate being sent. Reduce the load or bitrate as appropriate for your setup, then run another test and verify playback in Live Control Room.

The preview works but viewers cannot find or open the stream
Check the event’s visibility and confirm you are using the correct channel and watch page. Test access from a mobile device as well as your own signed-in encoder setup.
The video plays but the audio is missing or wrong
Inspect the encoder’s audio source and the episode file, then confirm audio in the Live Control Room preview and on a separate playback device. A silent or incorrect source in the loop will remain a problem even if the YouTube connection is healthy.
A backup encoder does not take over
Do not wait for a real outage to discover a failover problem. Test the backup by stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet connection, then confirm that the stream takes over as intended.
Costs and practical trade-offs
A local setup may avoid a managed-service subscription if you already own suitable hardware, but you remain responsible for keeping the host online, maintaining the connection and handling recovery. A dedicated mini PC is optional, not a requirement for creators with a reliable computer; YouTube says expensive equipment is not required to begin. This workflow guidance does not establish a recommended computer specification or model.
