To present a prepared Tamil yoga relaxation video as a YouTube livestream, schedule an event in YouTube Studio, send the video through a streaming encoder such as OBS Studio, and check the preview before going live. YouTube provides the event page; the encoder supplies the prerecorded program as a live feed.
What you need before you begin
- A YouTube channel that is enabled for livestreaming. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
- A finished video you have permission to use, including its visuals, narration, music, and sound effects.
- An encoder such as OBS Studio, plus a reliable internet connection and a computer capable of playing and sending the video.
- A title, description, visibility choice, and planned start time for the event.
OBS Studio is free, open-source software for video recording and livestreaming. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses a server URL and stream key to connect the encoder to your scheduled broadcast. A prerecorded source file does not become a livestream merely by uploading it to YouTube: the encoder must send it as a live feed.

Schedule the livestream in YouTube Studio
- Enable livestreaming. If the channel has never streamed before, enable the feature and allow up to 24 hours for activation.
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, go to Live Control Room and select the Manage tab.
- Create the event. Schedule a stream and enter its title, description, visibility, date, and start time. Describe it accurately as a prerecorded Tamil relaxation session if viewers will not receive real-time instruction.
- Review the watch page. A scheduled event can appear as upcoming, and viewers may opt into a reminder. Check the event details and visibility before sharing its link.
- Copy the connection details. From the event’s stream settings, copy the YouTube server URL and stream key for the encoder. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the stream.
Configure OBS to play the prerecorded program
- Install OBS Studio from the OBS Project official site.
- Add the video source. In an OBS scene, add a media source and select the finished video. Configure playback to restart when the source becomes active if you intend the program to loop. If you do not want a loop, leave it as a single play-through and plan to stop the stream when it ends.
- Set the stream connection. In OBS settings, open the stream configuration, choose YouTube if available, and enter the stream key. If using a custom service configuration, enter YouTube’s server URL and key. Do not expose the key in screenshots or recordings.
- Check the picture and sound. Confirm the video is framed correctly, Tamil speech is intelligible, music does not overwhelm the voice, and there is no unintended silence, clipping, or black frame. If you use original narration, a USB microphone can help when recording it, but it is not required to stream a completed video.
- Keep output settings compatible with your source and connection. Use a resolution and frame rate your computer can play reliably, and avoid upscaling a smaller source merely to choose a larger output. YouTube’s encoder guidance should be consulted for current stream settings; the sources for this workflow do not establish a single bitrate or keyframe value suitable for every resolution, frame rate, encoder, and connection.
Rehearse, preview, and start the event
- Do a private or unlisted rehearsal. Before the public event, test the complete path with a short segment: video playback, Tamil audio, stream key, encoder connection, and YouTube preview. Confirm the test’s visibility before starting, and do not assume a public scheduled event is private.
- Prepare ahead of the start time. Open the encoder, select the correct scene, and start sending the feed early enough to let YouTube receive it.
- Inspect Live Control Room. Wait for the preview and check that both picture and sound are present and that the intended event is receiving the feed. YouTube recommends monitoring stream quality.
- Start the livestream. Start the event from the encoder and, where the Live Control Room workflow prompts for it, confirm that the event should go live. Check the public watch page from a separate browser or device if practical.
- Monitor the program. Keep an eye on the encoder and YouTube status while the video plays. For a loop, verify the transition back to the beginning; for a single play-through, stop sending content after the program finishes.
- End cleanly. Stop the stream from the encoder when the session is over and confirm that the event has ended. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived.
Clear the rights for every part of the video
Rights checks need to happen before the broadcast, not only before uploading a replay. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. A match can lead to a warning, a placeholder replacing the feed, interruption, or termination if the matched material continues. Even licensed content may interrupt a stream unless the rights owner has allowlisted the channel. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the creator to have the necessary rights for live content, including music.

For all visuals, voice recordings, and audio, keep evidence of authorship, permission, or license. A music license and YouTube’s Content ID handling are separate practical concerns: if a rights owner requires channel allowlisting, arrange it before relying on the track in a live broadcast.

Make the session genuinely your own
Scheduling prerecorded video does not by itself make a channel eligible for monetization. YouTube’s channel monetization policy, updated in July 2025 to clarify its “inauthentic content” naming, says highly repetitive or mass-produced content with little educational value, commentary, narrative, or variation is not eligible. Reused content is considered across the channel; reviewers may look at videos, channel descriptions, titles, and descriptions.
Make authorship and value clear in each session: use original Tamil narration where appropriate, give sessions distinct relaxation themes or sequences, pace them purposefully, and accurately describe what viewers will experience. Do not present a prerecorded program as live, real-time instruction if it is not. Eligible monetized livestreams may earn from ads and, where available, fan-funding features such as Super Chat, Super Stickers, or memberships; these depend on channel eligibility and policy compliance, and ad slots are not guaranteed to serve.

Troubleshooting common problems
- Livestreaming is not available yet: If this is the channel’s first stream, activation may still be pending; YouTube says it can take up to 24 hours.
- YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Check that you copied the stream key for the scheduled event and entered the server URL and key in the correct encoder fields. Keep the key private.
- Preview is missing picture or sound: Confirm the right OBS scene and media source are active, the file is playing, and the audio meter responds. Rehearse again before the scheduled event.
- Playback stops at the end of the video: Decide in advance whether the session should loop. Enable restart/loop behavior for a repeating program, or plan to end the stream after a single play-through.
- A stream is interrupted after a copyright match: Stop or replace the matched material and resolve rights before restarting. A license alone may not prevent interruption if channel allowlisting is required.
- Audio is hard to understand: Adjust the mix so Tamil narration remains clear over any background music, then check it in the rehearsal from a separate device.
