You can run a Marathi music radio-style YouTube livestream by preparing a continuous audio-and-visual feed, connecting it to YouTube with an encoder or another supported method, and monitoring it. The essential prerequisite is music clearance: permission must cover the recordings, compositions, live broadcast, territories, and any archive you plan to keep. A license by itself may not stop YouTube from interrupting the stream if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID.
1. Make sure your channel can livestream
YouTube requires a verified channel with no livestreaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Live access is required before you can use mobile, webcam, or encoder streaming. Check your channel’s current eligibility in YouTube Studio before preparing a launch. YouTube’s livestreaming access guidance explains the requirement.

2. Clear the music before building the playlist
Do not treat a Marathi song as cleared just because it is available online, labelled “free,” or credited in your description. YouTube says livestream providers must hold the necessary rights for their live content, including music licensing rights. Its terms refer to rights from artists, record labels, publishers—including public performance licenses—and other royalty participants. YouTube’s terms place responsibility for those rights on the provider.

Create a track-by-track rights ledger
Before loading music, record the relevant details for every track. This ledger is a practical checklist, not a YouTube form.

- Composition and publishing ownership where relevant.
- Written permission for YouTube live broadcast and the territories covered.
- Whether permission also covers an archive, replay, or video on demand (VOD).
- License term, revocation conditions, and any monetization restrictions.
- Whether the rights holder will add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the agreed use.
The rights required depend on the repertoire, countries, and whether you retain an archive. Platform help pages cannot determine the license needed for your specific catalog; get terms directly from rights holders and consult qualified local counsel where appropriate.
Ask rights holders about Content ID allowlisting
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. It may replace the video with a placeholder and warn you; if the matched content remains, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream. Even a licensed stream can be interrupted if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. Do not mistake catalog tools for blanket clearance
YouTube describes music as safe to use when it is public domain or used with the copyright owner’s permission. Its Audio Library is an option to review, but check the terms for each item and intended use. Creator Music availability and terms vary by region and track; YouTube’s guidance says its licensed-track revenue-sharing rules apply to eligible videos but exclude live streams. 3. Choose how to send the program to YouTube
YouTube supports mobile, webcam, and encoder livestreaming. For a continuous program with prepared music and a visual, an encoder is a practical way to send an audio/video production feed. A computer running encoder software can be sufficient; dedicated hardware is optional, not a requirement. Compare methods by whether you already own the device or software, how much control you need over audio and visuals, and what monitoring and recovery they require. 4. Create the stream and connect your encoder
- Prepare your program. Assemble only cleared tracks into the order or playlist you intend to broadcast. Create a visual suitable for the live watch page and check that the audio and image remain present throughout the program.
- Open YouTube Studio and set up a livestream. Add the title, description, visibility, and other stream details. Choose a controlled or unlisted test first if you want to check the feed before making it public.
- Copy the stream key from YouTube Studio into your encoder. The key is the credential that lets the encoder connect to your stream. YouTube describes it as the stream’s password and address: do not share it or expose it in a public recording or screenshot. Use YouTube’s stream settings guidance for the current Studio controls.
- Configure the encoder for a stable feed. Select the intended audio and video inputs, and confirm that the encoder is sending the program you prepared. YouTube’s encoder guidance is the place to check its current recommendations for encoder setup; do not assume a particular bitrate or resolution is suitable for every connection and source.
- Start the encoder and check YouTube’s preview. Confirm that audio is audible and not clipping, the visual is present, and the watch page works on the devices you care about. If using a local recording or archive, inspect that file as well.
- Go public only after the test is sound. Keep the stream under observation after launch rather than treating a successful preview as proof it will run indefinitely.
5. Monitor the broadcast and plan for recovery
A 24/7 schedule needs operational attention as well as a working encoder. YouTube’s guidance recommends testing and monitoring, including checking preview, accessibility, archive integrity, and ongoing audio/video quality. It does not establish a guaranteed uninterrupted 24-hour architecture; continuity depends on the chosen encoder, network, hosting, and recovery plan.
- Check periodically for silent audio, distortion, frozen visuals, or an encoder disconnect.
- Watch YouTube Studio for copyright warnings or other stream notices.
- Know who can restart the encoder and reconnect it if the feed drops.
- Test the recovery procedure before relying on the channel for continuous programming.
- Recheck permissions if the playlist, territory, archive plan, or license term changes.
