Don’t rely on the logo, display name or wording alone. Kaspersky reported two corporate phishing waves in 2026: one impersonated DocuSign and another, sent a little more than a week later, impersonated Zoom. Both used links to steal credentials; the Zoom-themed messages also included forms requesting personal and credit-card details. Verify unexpected requests through a trusted channel rather than the email, and never enter information into a form you did not expect.
What Kaspersky reported about the Zoom and DocuSign campaign
Kaspersky’s September 28, 2026, report described two waves targeting corporate accounts. The first emails impersonated DocuSign and were sent to accounts in the Middle East, Latin America, Western Europe, Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. The messages included links intended to steal credentials. A little more than a week later, a second wave impersonated Zoom and warned recipients that their accounts were about to be disabled. Those emails used credential-stealing links and forms embedded in the message that asked for personal information and credit-card details. Kaspersky’s campaign announcement
Kaspersky’s regional report said it had detected more than 1,000 phishing emails associated with the campaign through September 11, 2026. That figure counts detected emails, not confirmed victims or successful account compromises. Kaspersky’s September 17 regional report
The September 28 announcement described the Zoom wave as ongoing at the time of publication. That is a status claim from that date, not confirmation that the campaign remains active now.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Warning signs—and why there is no single visual test
The reported messages leaned on recognizable workplace services and pressure: a document-related request or a warning that an account would soon be disabled. Neither a familiar logo nor a plausible sender display name establishes that an email is genuine. The reports do not provide a universal visual clue, confirmed sender domains, message headers or malicious URLs that readers can use to identify every copy. Treat unexpected requests for sign-in details, personal information or payment-card data as suspicious, even when the message appears to come from a service your workplace uses.
- Unexpected urgency: a threat of account deactivation or a demand to act quickly should prompt independent verification, not an immediate click.
- Unrequested sign-in or information forms: do not enter credentials, personal details or card information through a link or embedded form you did not expect.
- Branding without independent confirmation: logos and display names can be imitated. Confirm the request using a contact route you already trust, not details supplied in the message.
How to handle a suspicious DocuSign request
- Stop before opening the link or completing the form. If the document request was unexpected, contact the apparent sender through a separate, trusted channel to confirm they sent it.
- Use DocuSign’s direct access route if you need to check a document. DocuSign says recipients can go directly to docusign.com, choose Access Documents and enter the unique security code included in the email. Do not follow a link in a message you are unsure about. DocuSign Trust Center guidance
- Report suspicious messages. DocuSign says they can be forwarded as an attachment to [email protected] or reported through its abuse tools. If the message targets a work account, also use your organization’s established security-reporting channel.
DocuSign’s August 20, 2026, Trust Center alert also describes a separate scam that uses blurred document previews and malicious “unblur” downloads. DocuSign says it will not require software or an unblurring tool to view a document. That separate alert is useful context, but it is not the same campaign as the Zoom and DocuSign waves Kaspersky reported.

What to do if you already clicked or submitted information
If you entered a work password or other sensitive information, contact your organization’s IT or security team promptly through its known reporting channel. Do not reply to the suspicious email or use its contact information. Your security team can assess the account and decide what response is appropriate; the cited campaign reports do not establish that every recipient was compromised.
Kaspersky warns that a compromised corporate account can expose sensitive information, allow an attacker to impersonate an employee or send fraudulent messages from a legitimate account. Reused credentials may also provide a route into other corporate services. These are possible consequences of account compromise, not confirmed outcomes for every person who received one of these emails. Kaspersky’s regional report on account risks

How organizations can reduce the risk
Kaspersky recommends layering technical defenses with employee preparation rather than relying on workers to spot every imitation. Its recommendations include dedicated email protection, regular staff training and threat communications, controlled phishing exercises, and multifactor authentication for email—especially for privileged accounts. Where possible, it suggests passwordless options such as tokens or mobile push. Its regional advice also calls out phishing-resistant authentication, including security tokens or push authentication. If an organization is evaluating MFA options, it should check compatibility with its identity provider and account configuration, along with phishing resistance, account recovery and deployment support. The cited reports do not endorse a particular security-key model or vendor.
