To end PlayStation sessions remotely, sign in to Account Management, open Security, and select Sign Out on All Devices. To remove console activations you do not recognize, use Device Management > PlayStation Consoles > Deactivate All Devices. These are separate actions: remote deactivation affects every activated console, not just one, and the cited PlayStation Support page says it can be used once every six months.
Sign out of PlayStation on all devices
- In a web browser, sign in to PlayStation Account Management.
- Open Security from the sidebar.
- Scroll down and select Sign Out on All Devices.
This ends active sessions across devices. If a console is inaccessible, PlayStation also directs users to change the account password to sign out from it; sign-out and console deactivation are not interchangeable.

Change your password to sign out from an inaccessible console
In Account Management, open Security and edit Password. PlayStation’s console deactivation guidance specifically recommends changing the password to sign out from consoles you cannot access. Choose a password you do not use elsewhere, and keep it private.
Remove unknown console activations remotely
- Sign in to Account Management in a browser.
- Choose Device Management > PlayStation Consoles.
- Select Deactivate All Devices and confirm.
This remote action clears activations for all consoles linked to the account. PlayStation does not offer a way to remotely deactivate only one inaccessible console. Its English India support page says that remote deactivation is available once every six months, so use it deliberately: it can affect a console you still own and use. After deactivation, you may need to activate the consoles you continue using again.

Activation limits listed by PlayStation
The same PlayStation Support page lists a maximum of one PS5, one PS4, two PS3 systems, and three PS Vita/TV systems for an account. It also says a PS5 and PS4 can both be active at the same time. These are console activation limits, not a limit on how many devices can sign in.

If you suspect theft or account compromise
PlayStation’s compromised-account guidance recommends signing out all devices and deactivating consoles. If a stolen console could be used to make purchases, consider removing all payment methods from the account. Contact PlayStation Support promptly if you cannot change your sign-in method or regain secure access.
What changes apply across devices
PlayStation says security settings changed online are saved to the account and apply across devices and consoles. When using a shared console, sign out before leaving it and do not share your account credentials. Menu wording and policy details can vary by region or change; the linked support pages are localized to Canada, India, and the United States and do not display publication dates.
