To remove your Netflix account from a smart TV, sign out inside the Netflix app: open Netflix, go to its home screen, press Back on the remote, choose Get Help, then Sign out and confirm. This removes the app’s active session; you do not need to delete Netflix or factory-reset the TV.
Sign out through the Netflix app

Open Netflix on the TV and return to the Netflix home screen.

Press Back on the remote to open the Netflix menu.

Find Get Help. If the menu runs across the top of the screen, move left to the profile icon. If it opens along the left side, check near the bottom. On some TVs, Get Help is under Settings.

Select Sign out, then confirm Yes.
The menu layout depends on the TV and Netflix app version. Netflix’s smart TV troubleshooting instructions describe the sign-out route and the fallback below.

If Get Help or Sign out is missing
With Netflix open, press this sequence on the TV remote:
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up

A menu should appear with one or more options such as Sign out, Reset, or Deactivate. The options and labels vary by device; Panasonic instructions also list Start Over. Choose the available sign-out action if shown. If you are unsure what Reset or Deactivate will do on your model, check Netflix’s or the TV manufacturer’s device-specific instructions rather than assuming the options are interchangeable.

Sign in with a different Netflix account
After signing out, choose Sign In on the Netflix welcome screen and enter the email address or phone number and password for the account you want to use. If the TV or cable box has a Back button, Netflix says to press it until Sign In appears. If it does not, use the remote sequence above and choose the available Sign out, Reset, or Deactivate option, then select Sign In. The exact route can depend on the device; Netflix’s sign-in troubleshooting page covers these options.
Signing out is not the same as resetting the TV
Signing out ends the Netflix app session. Deleting the Netflix app or restoring the entire TV to its original settings are broader actions and are not required for ordinary account removal. A factory reset can remove apps, data, or saved device settings, according to Netflix’s troubleshooting guidance. Treat it as a last resort for a separate device problem, not as the normal way to switch Netflix accounts.

When the TV’s menus do not match
Menu locations and available actions vary by manufacturer, model, and app version. If the steps above do not fit your screen, note the TV’s make and model and consult the manufacturer’s instructions or Netflix’s device-specific help. Do not choose a broader reset just because a menu label differs.
