If the app menu is unavailable, Netflix documents a remote-button sequence that opens its app menu. Restarting the TV is another low-risk troubleshooting step.
Sign out of Netflix from the Sanyo app
Netflix’s Sanyo-specific instructions vary slightly depending on where the app displays its menu:

- If the menu is across the top: From the Netflix home screen, press Back on the remote. Move left to the profile icon, select Get Help, choose Sign out, then select Yes.
- If the menu is on the left: From the Netflix home screen, press Back, go to the bottom of the menu, select Get Help, choose Sign out, then select Yes.
- If Get Help is not shown: Go up in the menu and select Settings.
Follow Netflix’s Sanyo TV sign-out instructions if you need to check the menu flow.
Open Netflix’s app menu when the usual options are missing
If you cannot find Get Help, Settings, or Sign out, press these buttons on the remote in this order:

When the Netflix menu appears, select Sign out, Start Over, Reset, or Deactivate, depending on the app or account action you want. This sequence opens Netflix’s in-app menu; it is not a command to factory-reset the TV. The effect of these app choices can differ by device.
Restart the TV if Netflix is still not working
A full power restart is a sensible next step for a TV app problem. Netflix recommends turning the device off, unplugging it if it has a power cable, confirming it is fully off rather than in standby, leaving it off for 15 seconds, then turning it back on and trying Netflix again. When to consider TV software updates or original settings
If the app-level steps and restart do not help, Netflix advises contacting the device manufacturer about updating the TV’s firmware or software, or restoring the device to its original settings. These device-level steps can remove saved apps, data, or settings. Before proceeding, have your Wi-Fi name and password and Netflix sign-in information ready.
The exact settings path depends on the Sanyo model and software version. The Netflix Sanyo instructions explain app-level sign-out and reset choices, but do not provide one universal Sanyo menu path for clearing app data or updating firmware. Use the manual or manufacturer support for your exact TV model rather than guessing at a settings route.

If the built-in Netflix app is unavailable
An external streaming device may be an alternative if Netflix is no longer offered on the TV. Netflix lists Amazon Fire TV/Stick among its supported TV streaming-device families, but that does not establish that every stick model, HDMI input, region, or Sanyo television will work together. Check the TV’s available inputs and the streaming device’s current requirements before buying.
Netflix says the service may no longer be available on some TVs and streaming devices made before 2015. That is an availability caveat, not a guarantee that every older Sanyo TV has lost support. The Netflix supported-device list is the place to check device-family support; confirm requirements for the exact model you intend to use.
