On a phone or tablet, signing out removes the account from that device; it does not permanently delete the account.
Sign out on a Galaxy phone or tablet
Samsung describes signing out on a phone or tablet as removing the Samsung account from that device. Try the direct route first:

- Open Settings.
- Tap your Samsung account name at the top.
- Scroll down and tap Sign out.
- Confirm, enter your Samsung account password, and tap OK.
If that option is not available, use the account-management route: open Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts > Samsung account > Remove account. Confirm the removal, tap Sign out, enter your password, and tap OK. Samsung notes that labels and screens may vary by carrier and software version, so look for the closest matching account controls.

Sign out on a Samsung TV
- Open Settings > All Settings > Samsung Account.
- Select the account, then choose My Account.
- Choose Sign Out and confirm with Yes.
On some models, press left on the remote, select the account name at the top left, choose the account and edit button, then select Sign Out and confirm. TV menus can differ by model and software version.

Sign out on a computer
In a web browser, go to Samsung’s account support page, or visit Samsung’s website directly. Select the profile icon in the upper-right corner and choose Sign out.
What happens when you sign out
On a phone or tablet
Removing the account stops new Samsung account syncing and removes synced data from the device. Data stored locally on the phone or tablet that was not synced with Samsung Cloud remains there. You can add the account back later.

On a TV
Signing out removes the account from that TV and deletes synced data on the TV. Samsung services, apps, cloud features, and synced content linked to the account become unavailable there until you sign in again. Active subscriptions are not cancelled by signing out.

Device sign-out removes the account from that device; permanent account deletion is a separate process. Deleting the account also removes purchase history, content subscriptions, content uploads, and profile information, which Samsung says cannot be recovered. If you only want to stop using the account on a phone, tablet, or TV, sign out rather than delete it.
