Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallTo show the current song on a 24/7 YouTube radio stream, put a changing “Now Playing” label into the video sent to YouTube. The label needs a source for the track title and artist, plus an overlay to display them. Choose an integration that matches the app actually playing your music; YouTube’s live-stream title does not update as an on-screen track label.
Choose an overlay that matches your playback source
A label can only be as accurate as the information feeding it. A fixed playlist can use a maintained track list, chapters, or description data. For dynamically selected tracks, use an integration that reads the current player’s metadata.

YouTube Music desktop with YTMDesktop2
YTMDesktop2 documents a local API that can feed an OBS Browser Source. Enable its local API, copy the overlay URL from its settings, then add that URL in OBS via Sources → + → Browser. Its documented layouts include full card, compact, text, badge, fullscreen, stack, and ticker. See the project’s setup information at YTMDesktop2.

YouTube Music desktop with a local-file bridge
A community project documents a Python bridge that writes title and artist to a text file and cover art to an image file for OBS sources to read. This route depends on the desktop app and Python, and the integration is community code—not a guaranteed or independently tested connection. Follow the project’s own requirements and setup instructions at the project repository; confirm the repository and current instructions before installing.

- [Mute and Monitor] The front mute and monitor buttons but not at the back, make it easier to get the audio interface use. The sturdy-built control button allow you to operate freely and easily during live streaming.

YouTube or YouTube Music in a browser
An OBS forum resource called “Music on stream” reports support for YouTube and YouTube Music and says it can draw titles from YouTube chapters or a video-description playlist. Check that the current extension still works with your browser and that its title source corresponds to how your channel plays music. A chapter-based label or maintained playlist is not necessarily the same as reading the active player’s live metadata. See Music on stream.
Hosted continuous playout
Some hosted playout services document a built-in Now Playing element that changes as named content rotates. This can avoid some local overlay wiring, but check the provider’s terms, price, reliability, and how it gets the track metadata before depending on it for an unattended broadcast.

- Analog mixing and equalization for pure sound
- Direct mixing of PC/gaming sounds into the streaming output
- Ultra-low noise analog mixer for streaming, podcasting and recording
- Stereo USB audio interface to connect your computer or mobile device
Set up and verify the label
- Identify the playback source. Decide whether audio comes from YouTube Music desktop, a browser, a fixed playlist, or hosted playout. Establish whether that source exposes current title and artist or whether you must maintain the labels yourself.
- Add the overlay to the outgoing scene. In OBS, add the copied YTMDesktop2 URL as a Browser Source, or use the local bridge’s text and image files as OBS sources. Keep the overlay in the scene that is actually sent to YouTube.
- Check that labels follow audio. Preview a track change, then check pause, stop, app restart, and missing metadata. Do this before leaving the stream unattended. The behavior can differ by integration: for example, the documented community bridge clears text on playback stop but may leave the last track visible if YouTube Music fully closes.
- Make long labels readable. Check title length, contrast, and placement against the video. Hosted-overlay documentation warns that long titles can break layouts; configure overflow or truncation where available.
- Choose a stale-data fallback. Hide the label or show “Now playing unavailable” if metadata stops updating. A stale title can mislead viewers more than a brief fallback message.
Keep the on-screen label separate from YouTube’s live metadata
The broadcast title and description identify the live event; they are not a per-track graphic. YouTube’s live-broadcast API documents broadcast-level details such as actual and scheduled start and end times and viewer count, not an automatic changing song label. To show a title inside the picture, render it into the outgoing video composition or use a playout system that supplies the graphic. See YouTube LiveBroadcasts resource.

Spotify’s current-track endpoint can expose the user’s playing item, but Spotify’s documentation says its content must not be synchronized with visual media and may not be used for non-interactive broadcasting. Do not interpret API access as permission to pair Spotify recordings with a continuous YouTube radio stream. Review the current-track endpoint documentation and applicable Spotify terms before building an integration.

Troubleshoot common Now Playing problems
- The label never changes: Confirm the overlay is connected to the active player, not a static playlist or an unrelated tab. Verify that the source provides dynamic metadata.
- The last song remains after playback stops: Configure a cleared or unavailable state if the integration supports one. Some bridges may retain the last title when the desktop app closes fully.
- Titles are wrong for a fixed playlist: Check that chapters or description entries match the playlist order and playback pattern. If tracks can be selected dynamically, use a source that reads the current player state instead of relying on a fixed sequence.
- Text is clipped or hard to read: Shorten or wrap long titles, adjust the overlay’s overflow behavior, and test contrast and placement over the actual video.
- The overlay works locally but not in the stream: Confirm it is in the scene being sent to YouTube and inspect the outgoing preview rather than relying only on the overlay’s own settings.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want the 24/7 YouTube stream itself to continue without a home computer, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera, and does not itself create or infer a changing track label: include the desired labels in the video or use a compatible overlay workflow.
- Nothing has to stay on at home; StreamNeo continues the stream from the cloud.
- Videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality tiers.
- Automatic recovery is included if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card; one free day is available per account.
Monthly pricing: $9.99 per month. Start your free StreamNeo day.
