Plan a separate, clearly labeled segment for each branch, then change the location name and offer details as the presenter moves from store to store. YouTube’s automatic rotation feature applies to tagged products—not branch names, locations, or graphics. If your channel is eligible for YouTube Shopping, you can tag products and enable automatic product pinning in the desktop Live Control Room.
Plan the branch rotation in your run of show
Treat each location as its own segment in the production rundown. YouTube does not document a native control for automatically rotating store branches, so plan the transitions as part of the show rather than expecting a platform setting to change locations for you.

- Set the branch order. List the stores in the order they will appear, along with the products and offers each segment will cover.
- Label each segment clearly. Display the branch name or a recognizable neighborhood or city identifier. Keep the location visible long enough for viewers joining midstream to understand which store is featured.
- Change the location and offer details together. When the presenter moves to the next branch, update the on-screen identifier and make clear which products, prices, or offer terms belong to that location. Branch overlays, lower thirds, maps, and segment timing are production suggestions, not documented YouTube features.
- Use deliberate transitions. Have the presenter name the next branch or otherwise signal the change before showing its products. This helps avoid viewers mistaking one store’s offer for another’s.
Rotate tagged products with YouTube Shopping
Product rotation is separate from branch rotation. Eligible creators can tag products featured in a live stream so viewers can open Shopping and see them. YouTube’s product-tagging guidance says creators can pin multiple featured products and, when the automatic option is enabled in the desktop Live Control Room, tagged products rotate one after another every 60 seconds.

Shopping features depend on creator eligibility, supported locations, and product delivery availability. A tagged item may not be visible or purchasable to every viewer.
- Tag the products that actually feature in the stream. YouTube says tagged products must be meaningfully related to the content, prominently featured, and used safely. For another brand’s products, the product must be available from a selected retailer and that retailer must be selected.
- Curate the products and their order before going live. Review the picker order and make sure it matches the planned segments as closely as possible. YouTube warns that updates during a stream may not appear to viewers already watching, and advises completing removals or rearrangements at least 30 minutes before the stream for the best viewer experience.
- Enable automatic product pinning in desktop Live Control Room. Use the relevant setting there to rotate tagged product pins every 60 seconds. This changes which tagged item is pinned; it does not change the branch being shown or update branch graphics.
Keep product tags, local offers, and availability distinct
A product tag helps viewers discover a tagged item; it does not establish that an item is in stock at a particular branch, that a local offer applies, or that a coupon is store-specific. State branch-specific terms in the stream itself and make the location explicit when presenting the offer.

YouTube Shopping visibility and purchase availability depend on geography and delivery. For a connected store, YouTube’s setup guidance says product information is based on the merchant’s countries of sale and delivery. Sales, fulfillment, returns, and customer support are handled by the merchant’s retailer or platform, so do not imply that every viewer can buy every tagged product or that YouTube itself handles the order.
Disclose sponsored retail content
YouTube treats content influenced by a brand partner in exchange for something of value—including payment, free products, or sponsorship—as branded content, and its policy applies to live streams. If the stream contains branded content, declare it in Studio using the paid promotion declaration. YouTube says it will show a disclosure label, but creators remain responsible for making disclosure clear and prominent and following applicable local law.

YouTube’s policy also distinguishes branded content from embedded commercial breaks: creators cannot burn or embed advertiser-created or supplied video ads, or other commercial breaks, into their content.
Choose the workflow that matches the show

Use both when appropriate: the rundown tells viewers which branch they are seeing, while Shopping product pins can rotate eligible tagged items. They solve different problems and should not be presented as one automatic location-and-product rotation feature.
