You can redirect viewers from an eligible YouTube livestream to a scheduled Premiere or another channel’s livestream in YouTube Studio. For an Indian devotional music channel, the setup is the same as elsewhere: meet YouTube’s sender requirements, prepare the destination, then add it under the source stream’s Customization settings. YouTube’s current instructions do not specify a separate India-only threshold. YouTube Help: How to use YouTube Live Redirect
What Live Redirect does
Live Redirect can send viewers from a livestream—or, using the documented workflow, a Premiere—to a selected Premiere or another channel’s livestream. When the source livestream ends, YouTube displays a confirmation and autoplay moves viewers to the destination. Let your audience know to wait a few seconds while the page reloads. YouTube Help

For example, a devotional music channel could send viewers from a live bhajan session to its scheduled Premiere, or coordinate a handoff to another channel’s live devotional programme. These are practical uses of the available destination types; YouTube’s documentation does not establish that redirects increase audience, retention, or revenue.
Check eligibility and format first
- Sending requirement: YouTube says the channel sending viewers must have more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. This threshold applies to the sender, not to a channel receiving a redirect.
- General livestream access: The channel must be verified and must not have had livestreaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Both general livestream access and the Live Redirect sender requirements apply. See YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming.
- Source format: YouTube lists Live Redirect for horizontal livestreams, not its vertical live feed. Check the source format before building the handoff around this feature.
- Cross-channel destination: If the destination is another channel’s livestream, that channel must permit redirects to it.
YouTube’s reviewed instructions do not give Indian channels a separate eligibility threshold, so use the requirements above rather than assuming a country-specific rule.

Choose and prepare the destination
Send viewers to your own Premiere
Create and schedule the Premiere first, then configure the source livestream. YouTube’s specific advice is: “Set up your Premiere before setting up your live stream.” That way, the destination is available when you add it to the redirect list.
Send viewers to another channel’s livestream
Agree on the handoff with the receiving channel in advance. Confirm that its redirect permissions allow your channel and coordinate when the destination will be live. The receiving channel controls this permission in its own Studio settings.

Add a redirect to your livestream
- Sign in to YouTube Studio and open Content.
- Select the Live tab.
- Find the source livestream, hover over it, and click Edit.
- Open Customization.
- Under Redirect, click Add.
- Choose a Premiere, or search for and select another channel’s livestream.
- Save or confirm the change if Studio prompts you. When the source livestream ends, review YouTube’s confirmation that viewers will be redirected.
For a Premiere as the source instead, use the same general route: Content > Live, edit the Premiere, open Customization, and add the redirect destination.

To allow another channel to redirect viewers to your livestream, the receiving channel can manage access in YouTube Studio under Settings > Community. YouTube Help describes three choices: allow subscribed channels (subject to the subscription-privacy condition), allow all channels, or allow specific approved channels. The page says up to 100 channels can be added manually. Choose the policy that fits your collaboration and moderation preferences, then save it. YouTube Help: Live Redirect permissions

Make the handoff clear to a devotional audience
- Tell viewers before the end of the source stream where they are going—for example, to the channel’s scheduled devotional Premiere or a collaborator’s live programme.
- For a cross-channel handoff, agree on the timing and permission before going live; do not assume the destination channel accepts redirects by default.
- Ask viewers to wait briefly after the source stream ends while YouTube reloads the page and moves them to the destination.
