1. Complete Windows first-run setup
Turn on the Galaxy Book6 and follow the Windows prompts for your region, keyboard layout, network connection, account, and privacy choices. Choose settings that suit you; there is no single required set of privacy selections for every owner.

For model-specific instructions, open Samsung’s Galaxy Book6 support page and check the Windows 11 User Manual for your exact model and regional variant. Samsung lists manual version 1.1, modified May 19, 2026. The manual and available software may differ across variants.
2. Install Windows updates
Before installing Samsung software or connecting a phone, check Windows Update and install the updates offered for your PC. Restart when Windows requests it, then check again if updates remain. Samsung advises bringing Windows up to date before setting up Phone Link.

3. Find and install Samsung drivers and apps
- Open the support page for the Galaxy Book6 model and region you own. Use its manuals and software information rather than assuming another regional model has the same downloads.
- In Windows, open Samsung Update and check for available drivers and Samsung apps. Samsung’s Windows 11 guidance identifies Samsung Update as the route for installing these after Windows is installed.
- Install the drivers and apps you need, following the utility’s prompts. Restart if requested.
If Samsung Update is not supported on your device, Samsung points to Windows Update and the Microsoft Store as alternatives. What is offered can vary by model and region, so do not expect every Galaxy Book6 to have the same preinstalled app list or downloads. Samsung’s guidance is available on its Windows 11 software installation support page.
4. Decide which Samsung apps to install
Use the exact-model support page and Samsung Update to see what is available, then install only the apps you expect to use. A name appearing in instructions for another Galaxy Book or region does not establish that it is available for your configuration. Check the manual and software listing for your model before troubleshooting an app that is missing.

5. Optionally connect a Galaxy phone with Phone Link
Phone Link setup requires an up-to-date PC and a Microsoft account added to Windows. Pairing also involves signing in and granting the requested phone permissions; the connection is not complete just by opening the app.

- On the PC, open Phone Link and select Android.
- Follow the prompts to scan the QR code or enter a code, sign in, and approve the requested permissions on the phone.
Samsung’s Phone Link setup instructions note that screens and settings can vary with the phone model and software version. Available Phone Link features may also differ, so check what your specific phone and software support rather than assuming every feature is universal.
