First check the model name on the box or its packaging: older Vodafone TV Center models have different connections and instructions.
Before you connect anything, identify your Vodafone box
These steps are not universal across Vodafone equipment. Vodafone’s current instructions cover GigaTV Home, while the TV Center 2000 and TV Center 1000 are older, model-specific devices. Check the name printed on the box or packaging, then use the matching section below.

This guide reflects Vodafone Germany’s published instructions. If you have a different Vodafone device or use Vodafone TV in another country, check the guide for that exact model and region.
Set up a current Vodafone GigaTV Home
- Connect the box to the TV. Plug an HDMI cable into the GigaTV Home and an HDMI input on the television. Note which input you used.
- Connect the box to the internet. For a wired connection, connect the box to your router with a LAN cable. For Wi-Fi, choose your wireless network when prompted and enter its password.
- Connect power and start the box. Allow startup to complete.
- Select the matching TV input. Use the television’s input/source control to select the HDMI port connected to the box—for example, HDMI 1 only if that is the port in use.
- Finish setup on screen. Follow the instructions displayed by GigaTV Home. Vodafone’s current setup instructions describe both LAN and Wi-Fi internet connections; the box needs an internet connection.

If your box is an older Vodafone TV Center
Do not apply the current GigaTV Home steps to a TV Center without checking its own guide. The available connections vary by model.
Vodafone TV Center 2000
Vodafone’s legacy guide describes HDMI for HD picture and digital sound. It also describes analog audio/video connections for a television without HDMI, and a SCART adapter for a TV with a SCART input. These are options for the TV Center 2000 described in that guide, not confirmed connections for GigaTV Home. Consult the TV Center 2000 installation guide.

Vodafone TV Center 1000
The TV Center 1000 guide describes connecting the box to the television by HDMI or SCART, and connecting it to a Vodafone DSL EasyBox with a LAN cable. It also lists Vodafone Home Connect Powerline as an optional alternative when a direct cable run is impractical. These are legacy instructions for this model; use the TV Center 1000 installation guide, not the GigaTV Home sequence.

- Check the TV input first. Make sure the television is set to the HDMI port that the box is actually plugged into. If the cable is in HDMI 2, selecting HDMI 1 will not show the box’s picture.
- Confirm the box has power and has finished starting. Then check the HDMI connection at both ends.
- For GigaTV Home, check internet setup if prompted. Connect by LAN or complete Wi-Fi selection and password entry as directed on screen.
Vodafone’s older TV Center 2000 quick-start guide notes that its screen can stay black briefly during startup. That timing is for the older device; Vodafone’s current GigaTV Home material does not establish the same delay for current hardware.

Do not confuse a Vodafone digital receiver with GigaTV Home
Vodafone’s separate digital receiver help page describes HDMI for an HD television and an ANT IN connection to the cable network. That is a different device and connection sequence, not an alternative GigaTV Home setup. If the device is labelled digital receiver, follow its digital receiver help page.
