You can’t currently set up UPI to receive YouTube Super Chat earnings in India. Google’s AdSense for YouTube payment-method table lists wire transfer for India; its UPI instructions are for paying Google Ads, not receiving creator earnings. YouTube pays creator earnings through AdSense for YouTube.
How to set up your YouTube earnings payout in India
Use the payout method shown in your AdSense for YouTube account. Google’s India table lists wire transfer; if a method is not shown under Add payment method, Google says it is unavailable for that country.
- Set up or link AdSense for YouTube. In YouTube Studio, follow the prompts to create or link the AdSense for YouTube account used for creator earnings. Do not create a duplicate account under the same payee name: Google allows only one AdSense or AdSense for YouTube account under that name. Google’s AdSense for YouTube setup guidance.
- Complete the requested account checks. Submit tax information and follow any identity or address verification prompts shown in your account. Verification requirements depend on the account and applicable thresholds. Google’s verification and payment-threshold guidance.
- Wait until payment-method selection is available. The payment-method selection threshold is distinct from the payment threshold needed for a payout. The relevant thresholds depend on the reporting currency; check the current information in your account rather than assuming an INR amount.
- Add the payout details. Sign in to AdSense for YouTube and open Payments → Payments info → Add payment method. Enter the bank details requested, choose whether to make the method primary if that option appears, and save. Google’s instructions for adding a payment method.
- Check payment status. Monitor the YouTube payments account for its balance, verification requests, and payment status. It has its own payment threshold, separate from any other AdSense payments account.
Why Google Ads UPI does not pay out Super Chat earnings
These are opposite payment directions. Google’s Google Ads UPI instructions explain how to send money to Google to prepay for advertising. Google states: “UPI is a payment method that you can use to make prepayments.” That is not a creator-payout method.

Do not use a Google Ads payment setup as a workaround for receiving Super Chat earnings. Check the payment options actually displayed in AdSense for YouTube for your account and country. Google’s payment-method availability guidance.
When YouTube earnings are paid
Google says finalized YouTube earnings are generally added to AdSense for YouTube between the 7th and 12th of the month after they are earned. To be included in that month’s payout, your balance must meet the applicable payment threshold and payment changes must be completed by the 20th. Payments are generally issued between the 21st and 26th. After Google issues a bank transfer, it may take up to seven working days to arrive. Each payments account must independently meet its applicable threshold. Google’s India payment-method table establishes wire transfer availability, but the INR-specific threshold should be checked in the current threshold information or in your account; do not infer it from another currency’s threshold. Super Chat eligibility is separate from payout setup
Having a payout method does not by itself make Super Chat available. Google lists conditions for offering Super Chat and Super Stickers that include being at least 18, living in a region where the features are available, and accepting the applicable Commerce Product Module.
