How to Set Up the Razer Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed’s 180-Degree Turn Button

On the Razer Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed, the 180-degree turn is called Perfect 180. Open Razer Synapse, assign Perfect 180 to the control you want to press, save the mapping if prompted, and test it in your game.

What Perfect 180 does

Perfect 180 is Razer’s name for an instant 180-degree turn intended for low-sensitivity gaming. Instead of moving the mouse through a full manual sweep, the feature performs the stated half-turn when you activate the control assigned to it.

This guide applies specifically to the Razer Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed. Razer’s product page does not establish that every other Basilisk V4 variant has the same feature or the same setup process, so do not assume the instructions carry over to another model without checking that model’s documentation.

Razer’s FAQ describes the setup in one sentence: Simply map the feature to any control in Razer Synapse. The product page also identifies Synapse as the software used for button mappings and other mouse settings.

Razer’s Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed product page and FAQ are the reference for the feature name and supported setup action.

Before you start

  • Confirm that your mouse is the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed, rather than a different Basilisk model or an unverified V4 variant.
  • Have Razer Synapse available on the computer where you intend to configure the mouse.
  • Connect the mouse before opening its control and button-mapping settings.
  • Decide which physical control you want to use. Razer says Perfect 180 can be mapped to any control, so choose one you can press reliably without losing control of your character.

The source does not specify a required Synapse release, operating-system version, game, sensitivity value, or connection mode. Those details should not be treated as universal prerequisites for this feature.

Set up the 180-degree turn

  1. Open Razer Synapse with the mouse connected

Start Synapse after connecting the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed. Use the mouse’s device settings rather than configuring a different Razer peripheral.

  2. Open the mouse’s control or button-mapping settings

Find the area in Synapse where the Basilisk’s controls can be assigned actions. Razer’s published FAQ confirms the mapping action, but it does not publish a verified, click-by-click navigation path or exact screen labels.

  3. Assign Perfect 180

Select the control you want to press and assign Perfect 180 to it. Use Razer’s feature name when searching the available actions so it is not confused with an ordinary directional command or a generic macro.

  4. Save or apply the mapping

If Synapse presents a save or apply command, use it before closing the device settings. The official wording confirms the assignment itself; it does not state whether every Synapse version saves changes automatically.

Choosing a practical control

Because Razer describes the feature as assignable to any control, the choice is primarily about access and avoiding accidental presses. A button that is easy to reach with your thumb may be preferable to a primary click that you use constantly, while a control placed where your grip naturally rests may be more likely to trigger unintentionally.

There is no Razer-published recommendation in the cited FAQ for one specific button, and the page does not identify a special physical “180-degree button.” The feature becomes available through the control mapping you create in Synapse.

How to verify the mapping

A short verification pass can separate a mapping problem from a game-specific behavior:

  • Check that the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed is the device selected in Synapse.
  • Reopen the control assignment and confirm that the chosen control shows Perfect 180.
  • Press the same control in the intended game and watch for the stated instant half-turn.
  • If you changed the assignment, make sure the new mapping was saved or applied before testing again.

These checks follow the documented setup action, but Razer’s page does not provide a formal troubleshooting flow, a list of compatible games, or a guarantee that every game will respond identically.

Important limits of the published instructions

No verified menu-by-menu walkthrough

Razer confirms that the feature is mapped in Synapse, but the cited product page does not name the exact tabs, menu labels, button names, or click sequence. Synapse’s interface can therefore differ from descriptions written for another release. Use the current control-mapping area and look for the Perfect 180 action rather than relying on an assumed label.

No universal game-compatibility promise

The feature is described as an instant 180-degree turn for low-sensitivity gaming, but the source does not guarantee behavior in every game. It also does not specify whether a particular title needs its own input setting, whether the action is blocked by a game’s controls policy, or how the turn interacts with that title’s camera system.

No evidence that all Basilisk V4 models support it

The documented product is the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed. The available source does not establish identical Perfect 180 support for other Basilisk V4 editions. If your device name differs, verify support for that exact model before following this guide.

What is and is not established

The following points are directly supported by Razer’s product information:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • The feature is called Perfect 180.
  • It is described as an instant 180-degree turn aimed at low-sensitivity gaming.
  • It is configured by mapping it to a control in Razer Synapse.
  • Razer describes the destination as any control rather than naming one required button.

The same source does not establish a required button, a specific Synapse version, exact interface navigation, game-by-game compatibility, or identical support across every Basilisk V4 variant. Keeping those boundaries in mind prevents a generic setup description from being mistaken for a guaranteed result in every configuration.

Quick setup checklist
